Regarding mempo.. Why not get Andy with AR and low fire? I found a dex. One and thats what my DH is gonna use. To cheap for me to sell.

No socket with AR Andy's and no life %.

oh, I thought you could get andy's with a socket. that must explain why I never followed your advice to get one of those (you gave it about 10 pages earlier in the thread) =). I followed the rest of your advice to a T, though. its helped me a bit but I could still use an extra push to get over 100k dps. getting no drops worth a damn is not helping me.

Andy's can have a socket, but you lose the AR. Mempos have main stat, socket, AR, and life %. The random roll you want is the crit chance. Andy's are always 4.5% crit.

OMFG... finally

(On the topic of identifying hundreds of Rares, it's worth adding that while most of this blog is about overall item philosophy and our goals down the road, one of the short-term changes we're making is adding an "Identify All" option, which should be coming in 1.0.8.)

Fewer rare drops, but better stats on the rares too.

Something about better uniques.

I like the 1.07 & potential 1.08 ideas...unfortunately the game's already ruined for me. These things should have been in 1.00

I like some of the ideas. However I am still against them using crafting BoA items as a gold sink. It really has very little incentive for players with exceptional items to waste the money trying to craft better items. I have 100 str 70AR trifecta gloves. The chances of me making better gloves are very slim, and the fact that if I make 100 str 69AR trifecta gloves they are worthless. I also think they should lower the overall cost of gems. The BoA gems can remain that expensive, but 16 million gold plus materials (over 800 flawless squares) for a radiant star is silly for the average player.

They need a gold sink that doesn't offer rich players advantages over poor players. They really need vanity items like bright neon dyes that cost 5mil each and work on anything. That would be a good gold sink. Or wings or anything like that.

Oh darn. I always look forward to having a full bag of rares to identify one by one and spam my right mouse button over each to do it as fast as server-limitedly possible. Blizzard is just ruining all my fun! >.>

On a side note, I've slowly diagnosed my lag-outs component by component (since May of last year? 😵), and have truly determined that it's just an issue with the servers. So far, I've gone over all OS network I/O services and ethernet settings, ran several -t pings to determine loss on network or individually to battle.net, added port triggering/priorities UDP/TCP settings in router, changed routers, changed modem, had signal levels checked by ISP, swapped LAN port (dual-LAN on MoBO), and monitored network traffic for anything suspicious. Best part is, when my roomy and I were playing in the same game on D3 or even separately, we'd both lag-out at the exact same time. I don't lag out or have spikes in anything else online, so I'm 99.99999% certain it's battle.net now.

Does everyone else still experience lag-outs for like, 2-10 seconds?

I found that setting CPU affinity to a single core solved all my perceived lag issues...

I just started back playing d3 and was reading the recent patch notes. I saw that they "increased monster level exp by xxx%" for each monster tier, but I'm wondering why exp matters when you are already 60 by the time you start doing inferno with monster levels. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Aside from the normal 0-60 levels, there are paragon levels after you hit 60. Each level gives you increased stats and mf/gf. Once you hit 100 paragon, you're maxed on on mf/gf with that character. Legendaries and set items just fall out of the sky for you at that point... j/k

Paragon Levels: 100 more levels after you hit 60. The amount of xp needed for each subsequent PL increases.

I definitely never considered this. If that works, I'd be curious to know why maintaining a single core would resolve client data backlog from the server...I'll give it a try though. Thanks!

Also, there is no "perceived" lag, lol...Would you like me to record it for you?

I say that because for me the network latency meter is mostly always green even when I was lagging.

100 more levels, holy crap. Thanks for clearing that up.
