Officially gave away the rest of my gear + gold. 11 cent RMAH balance left but I am done. Cleared almost $1200 with gold and AH sales.

I just did Act III/IV on Hell and it felt like all the mobs got nerfed. We just rolled through it.

Also, Act III loot with NV 5 stack was insane, every pack was dropping like 2 rares, must've come out of Azmodan with at least 12+ rares, some of which were level 60+. On the other hand, I think I came out of Act IV with 4 rares, tops. The Aspects and bosses save Diablo don't drop anything.

Hooray! New patch is here! They raised the level cap? Of that I was not aware. Is Act2 inferno no longer 20 times harder than act 1 inferno? I hope so.

Just fyi, be careful selling stuff on RMAH right now...

Apparently, pissed off kids doing chargebacks on their creditcards or banks getting refunds for IAS items etc, blizzard is also suspending the sellers accounts of these sales. So if someone does a chargeback on an item you sold them, you get jacked too... Just a warning. Good job Blizzard?

So, has anyone had any luck killing belial? I get him 1/2 through stage 3 with ease then after his 3rd round of bombs they're everywhere... I tried to fraps it but I don't have the coordination to attempt to stay alive and hit f9 because I'm not going to pay to show you just how stupid this is. I can't go anywhere, he drops 3 bombs everywhere retardedly fast and since I haven't done the first quest in act 3 I can't get there to verify that it's any easier than before. The repair costs weren't that bad for me, like 30k. Too bad I'm stuck in act 2 now...

I added you. Maybe I can try to help you.

A bunch of idiots selling all their IAS gear for dirt cheap today as if it is now useless.

Picked up some sweet deals, too bad I did not have that much money to spend today or else I would have made a lot of money in the AH.

The nerf is good as it makes IAS less of a "must have" stat for every item.

The increase in repair cost is also an EXCELLENT move as it will make gold deflate in value.

The ability to get the highest tier weapons (with a lower chance) from Act I and II is also a great move.

I am sitting here, surfing the auction house and wondering how much, if any, I like this game any more.

I am just growing tired of it as of now. Maybe some MF runs in act 3 may help.

Act 2 inferno is still 10x harder than Act1, i thought this patch would nerf it more :< - Or have they not nerfed it at all yet?

Well, they made inferno fairly easy already so....the last thing we need is it nerfed more. If youre having problems, you need better gear. Best to team up with people too, solo for wiz/dh is difficult in some areas(like Act2 caves :p).

IAS killed the fun for me and I'll very likely be not playing D3 until patch 1.1 one now to see what Blizzard has done with the WD class and D3

was playing a Splinter/CC WD which I greatly enjoyed, but after 1.0.3, my WD can't farm Inferno Whimsyshire anymore. if my WD had its damage nerfed instead of attack speed, it would still be ok, but the IAS nerf just annihilated the fun I had with the splinter/CC WD build and I don't want to find an alternative WD spec or reitemize.

Act2 is still just as hard IMO. I have been playing the barbie lately, so I might be a bit rusty on the DH but it seemed exactly the same when I tried it out tonight..

I didnt lose too much DPS, I think down 3-4k

Repair costs weren't as bad as I was expecting either..

I'm done for a while I think, I'm losing interest.

I still can't take on Act II Inferno with my 42K HP 42K base DPS Barb, with 6K Armor and 500+ on all resistances. And I can hit for around 250K with Wrath activated. I gave Act II it try (started from "City of Blood" quest, going to the zone prior to and following Alcarnus killing Magdah in the process and getting full Valor stack at that point). I die about four to five times per Elite packs (no exaggeration, I counted), with almost any affix combinations. If there's three mobs in the pack, it goes as follows: 1) Pop Wrath, stump ground, stun them, Smash, kill one... 2) Get killed by lava/acid/cold pops or get killed due to mob(s) being shielded and immune, Wrath fades out prior to death... 3) Spawn, wait for Wrath cooldown, ready, walk back, kill another, die... 4) Wait again for Wrath's cooldown, walk back, kill the last... move on to the next Elite pack, rinse and repeat. I lost around 80K Gold in repairs after three packs... I stopped checking the money I lost after that point... maybe around 150K+ total in repairs.

It's not "fun", it's a chore, a grind. When I stay in town to wait for my Wrath's cooldown I literally Windows Key my way out of the game back to the Desktop and browse the web around, listening to music and sometimes even forgetting the game itself, getting back in and seeing that I lost the valor stacks since I hadn't played since the past half hour, isn't that pathetic? I'm at a point where I take the game as a mere numerically-driven addiction that's going nowhere. It's not like DII wasn't that, it was, but it had "something else", many things, many of which I can name but won't, I don't feel like discussing that but anyway, D3 is just not grabbing my attention.

My damage is sufficient most of the time, but I can't take on most hits even (and still so) from regular mobs. The only ones I can deal with, "with ease", are the lesser Fallen mobs, the Sand Wasps if I avoid their missiles of death and destruction Galaga-style and... that's about it. The cultists don't have much health they're squishy, but man they hit hard, one hit drops me from 42K HP to around 34K? That's around 10K damage per hit and I got 6K Armor, according to my stats I have I think 67% damage reduction, would they hit me for like 20K if I didn't have that armor? Really? Anyway, generally speaking it IS nerfed (on paper, technically, it is, and I see it) but despite their nerf it doesn't mean suddenly (as it should) that most builds for all classes are doing well in Inferno. They say Inferno is supposed to be very hard, but they nerfed it to allow us to play more in it, still... they need to balance it more to accommodate more builds and classes. I highly doubt they'll ever do it nor that I think they actually can, it would be taking months and lots of testing, I don't have that kind of patience anymore.

I'm thinking about selling my Barb stuff at the RMAH, got some great items actually, including some I'm not using still taking virtual dust in the stash. My own estimation is I'd make around $300 to maybe $500 or so if I do it. I'm seriously thinking I will. If I do it though I'm done with the game completely, I'd uninstall and forget. For now I think I'll just take a much needed break, another disappointment from a game I was hyped about and I fell for it for around the first two weeks, during which I could have praised it. Now I'm looking at it and I shrug wondering why I played it that long until now.

Break time, yeah... yeah, I need it.

Well there have been a lot of disappointments in D3 thus far, it fell short in a lot of areas. I think it's because the team that made Diablo 2 is basically all gone, and they didn't get the best minds available to make D3. Buuuut, I also didn't expect it to be on par with Diablo 2. D3 is still a fun game and I think they can still fix all the issues and the huge character class imbalances. That may be more of a mountain than they are willing to climb though since they already made all their money. I'm gonna keep on playing because I'm a diehard Diablo fan :p

I don't want to rag on the game too much though, plenty of others will do that for me. I think they did an ok job with D3, just that "ok" falls short of the expectations people build up after waiting for a sequel for 11+ years. So I could understand why people are cashing out and uninstalling.

Main issue is STILL the loot.

Running a painful Act III/INF Siege and then getting lvl 54 drops? I mean, i can live with almost any nerf and change - but it's the core issue of the game, the crap loot which needs to be fixed.

If you run stuff over and over, even on INF Act III etc and realize you never get updates and gear which is 5 levels below you after you died 6 times - there is no reason to run anything anymore.

The patch is really disappointing :< they nerfed the players more than did act 2-4 inferno which really needed some nerfing.

The loot drops definitely lack something special that D2 had. Why cant D3 loot have that D2 feeling? At least in D2 you had this chance of getting something that was worth a lot. In this game, it feels like, you could do this shit for hours and unless you got 5 stacks of valor in act4 farming multiple times, you aint gonna get crap. :p

Im just hoping blizzard can improve upon this. Although the repair cost increase isnt helping when the game so heavily relies upon AH for gear. That sure pissed a lot of people off today lol. Should see the bnet forums. I go there for the lul.

I have to admit, from what I'm reading, the repair costs sound completely asinine. I only have two characters, a 53 monk and a 34 WD, but I'm really discouraged now to even bother leveling up to 60 with either of them. I've put about 50-60 hours into Diablo 3, so I'm definitely not the type of person to farm for gold and such. I rely heavily on the GAH to buy gear so I can progress comfortably, so I'm not the richest (sitting on about 550k right now, which would go down quickly once I hit 60). I'm also not the best player, so I will die a lot once I get either character to act 3 hell or farther. Simply put, I will run out of gold and it will be hard to keep it, because farming is not fun to me, progressing in the game is.

And I'll have to be honest in another aspect as well. I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories, but it really does seem like the increased repair cost, as it is now, is simply a way to relieve players of their in-game currency and nudge everyone towards buying items in the RMAH. I have no problems with the RMAH, but I'm not using it.

the repair costs arent as bad as some people make it out to be. And when you have high level gear you'll be able to farm inferno and make more gold then you'll spend on repairs. And with the increased drop rate you'll be able to make more gold from the AH.

Possible tip, while in inferno/hell I'm pretty sure it's smarter to salvage items and then sell those on the AH than to sell the items to vendors

got about 16 yellows per run and too many blues to remember, 99% of them were crap and just got vendored/salvaged most had such bad stat combos giving them away would have been worth it

800 DPS wand with 250+ str and 250+ Dex /facepalm

That repair costs definitely put a larger dent in the wallet. What sucks is when the elite pack you just tackled doesn't drop enough gold/items to cover repair costs
