the treasure goblin thing means he wont drop items anymore?

I presume you're referring to this?

Treasure Goblins will now drop gold piles for all nearby players

I haven't played hardly any multiplayer, but I'm assuming that the goblins only dropped treasure for the person who initially started attacking it. Maybe it's something else. I don't think that means they no longer drop items though.

Which part would that be ?
Shorter enrage time ?

If you're talking about the monsters not hitting as hard. Tank barbs and monks that were fine.

Colossal Golgor base damage has been reduced
Soul Ripper and Soul Lasher damage has been reduced and both monsters will now run away less often
Wasps in Act II, Mage Constructs in Act II, and Winged Mollocks in Acts III and IV will now run away less
Succubus monsters will now run away less and for a shorter distance
Bloodclan Warriors no longer knockback when buffed and attack slightly slower
Mortar monsters can now hurl projectiles farther, but their minimum range has also been increased by 100%

All very melee positive, speaking as a barbarian.

the increased minimun range of Mortar is quite good for ranged too... we can stay close to the enemies but not THAT close as we stayed before

at least thats how i see it... its bad if you are running though

it looks like my magic find set will only be useful for switching to quickly before killing elites. will no longer need to switch to MF set to open the clouds and chests and whatnot. I assume the clouds and pinatas will be treated like chests.

I take it back. Might just be bad luck. Did three runs after that and got double on some. Might be lower spawning rate slightly though.

I hate the ias nerf, so slow now. :( Its going to force everyone to get all IAS gear I think.

I also hate the repair cost update. I was barely damaged and it was 10k. : /

If the nerfs are that bad to a point where it's a turn off for me i'm gonna uninstall. Inferno was difficult as is with Monk and DH.

EDIT: didnt realize the pic was so hard to read. Stats are:
235 str
34 dex
73 int
69 vit
61 all res

Found this in act4 hell with a 5 stack. Dropped from an elite

24qicdk.jpg

Not bad. It's nice to know I can farm act4 hell and get decent drops to help out with act1 inferno.

Also, this part makes me laugh:

High-end items (items level 61-63) will now drop in all Acts of Inferno and Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty

The new approximate drop rates are as follows:

Hell - Act III and Act IV

iLvl 61: 9%
iLvl 62: 1.9%
iLvl 63: 0%

The increase cost for repairs never made sense to me. Sounds like something to hinder the farmers that will also affect the regular players.

OK, I was ok on ACT I inferno before, now it's just impossible. The elites are now way more difficult, can't explain why. WTF?

Yeah its pretty retarded, I dont know what they are thinking. You already die a ton in inferno, now it just means youll go lose tons of gold doing it.

I haven't played yet, won't be able to until after work but from what I'm reading, it just feels like Bliz decided to dial everything back... dialed back DPS via IAS nerf, and dialed back mob dps. So what they really did was bumped up survivability while making death more costly at the expense of a longer downtime with clearing the acts.

And honestly, if this patch means I can actually now survive as a tank, I'll gladly take the dps hit. I have only played solo up till now but I'd like to party eventually with some of the members here but I don't wanna do it unless I feel like I can actually contribute.

It's considerably easier for me, I'll check out act 2 and 3 later. I was able to solo all of act 2 before but act 3 was absolutely awful, 2-3 hits before I died no matter what. It will also be nice to see how they change the damage for grouping, since they said it's been reduced.

So far I'm pleased with the patch but I've only done a few butcher runs just to kill some time over lunch. I'll update later on my thoughts on act 3, and 4 if I can get there.

ok, so I didn't see anything about magic weapon on wizard being buffed, but my damage took a serious hit using it.

Before my base damage was 4900 and with magic weapon with force weapon, it took it to about 7500 damage.

Now the same spell only brings it to 5700 damage.

Many of the nerfs are directly targeted at the combat-free farming that was epidemic in Inferno.

I approve wholeheartedly - having a hack and slash where your best bet is to never hack or slash anything is madness.

If I understand correctly, destructible items means just that - destructible items. So, if you click on an item was a missile attack and you shot it, it's destructible. Things like corpses, ect, where you'd actually have to walk over to them - are not affected.

The IAS nerfs - we knew that IAS was crazy overpowered, and it needed to be nerfed. Mathematically, I'm pretty sure as of now your best bet for DPS will be a mix of crit chance, crit damage, IAS and primary stat. That actually should work out well for everybody in the end. Someone who already got lots of CHC/CHD will be better served by adding in some IAS, and vice versa - which means everybody's spreading around it in multiple slots, spreading out demand.

The repair changes by themselves would've been horrible - but with the drop changes, they're less so. Since it's now actually possible to gear up for inferno act 1&2 in Hell 3/4, and for Inferno 2+ in Inferno 1, it's a way to keep players from death rushing in acts higher then they can actually handle.

You can now actually get gear better then would drop in pre-patch Inf 1 in Hell 3. Makes it quite reasonably possible to heavily gear up in late hell until you're properly kitted out for inferno. The repair penalties give you a very good reason to do so, instead of rushing as deep into Inferno as you can for the higher drop %.

Haven't had a chance to actually play, and won't til tonight, but it really looks to me like a huge improvement.

Heres an idea of the repair costs now.

All of my items are currently at around 25/48 give or take.

It costs 17,997 gold to repair all this gear atm, at half damaged.... So much for making gold while questing and running around? Looks like all gold found will be going towards repairs now. How are we supposed to make gold? I guess hope you find good items that sell on AH?

question on the ias nerf, are they changing the ias number on previously dropped items or just changed the ias damage formula?

I wonder with the increased repair cost if ignore durability loss > goldfind? I guess it depends on how gimped you are.
