I also want pants with a good amount of int and vit.... A lot to ask for I know. 😛

Got my first legendary drop yesterday. It had something like:

+ armor
+ gold pick up radius
+ health orb
+ regen

and some other shit properties. Sigh.....

Legendaries are thus far, worse than rares for the most part. 😛 The only thing they have going for them is the fact people are stupid and think they are elite items thus may pay a premium for them.

Blizzard already stated they are changing them though and should be better whenever that patch happens. Of course they are not retroactive.

I made the Staff of Herding for Hell. Adrenaline#1529 if you want to try it sometime.

Also, take a waypoint before Azmodan and plow through there to killing him with 5 NV stacks.

Is the hell upgrade at 500k worth it? I am contemplating upgrading my nightmarish SoH

Levelling was a little different, I used Cleave quite a lot and played with different AoE abilities but it's a matter of preference. That build is what I've used almost the entire time in Inferno though.

The blank skill I'm still debating over. Personally I love Overpower with the healing rune (second Revenge practically), but it simply isn't active often enough for me currently as I have no crit. I've been toying with Rend in that slot with the healing rune which has been ok, I might try Furious Charge with Dreadnought attached to it at some point.

Frenzy I should probably update the rune for, I've just kind of had Triumph out of habit, but it does help me out every now and then. Sidearm or Maniac are probably better choices.

Essentially I like a lot of self-healing and playing tanky. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it all the way through A3/A4 Inferno like that, but I'll have to see how they compare to A2 first.

"Real" gear I have about 60k health, just under 10k armor, 500-600 each resist (with shout) and around 18k DPS with a 1h and shield. I think pushing resists a bit higher and getting a good shield will be a noticeable difference (I've been combing the AH like mad for a Sacred Shield with a high block % and resists/stats but they are exceedingly hard to find, I also check Stormshields)

"Farm" gear (MF for A1 essentially) I have about 52k health, about the same armor, 300-400 resists, about 15k DPS and 150 MF base. But I was also able to farm there with substantially worse gear, first butcher kill was with 8k-9k DPS.

For solo play, I really like the Enchantress as well. I've got her stacked with vit and MF (gives me something like 13-14% I think) and use her for the ASPD and +armor passive abilities. Her CC goes out randomly but usually helps a little bit.

Thanks for the detail ... appreciated that! As I go through Hell I'm going to alter what I've done so far to try to find something more useful.

Yeah I know right? A lvl 3 blue has better stats than these useless brown shoulders. Hell, it doesn't even have MF or GF so I can't use that piece in EITHER of my gear setups.

Too bad I found this piece before blizzard fixed the item levels. qq.

OK I have 2 chars. lvl41 monk, lvl37 wizard. Both are under geared and both are stuck in act2 NM. What type of gear should I be looking for in the AH and what skill setup should I be using to get me through NM? Im playing mostly solo. Thanks to anyone that can help me 🙂

just check what are your worst items and try to find something better

and getting a weapon with more dps makes ALLL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD (g-man dixit)

like others have said, if you can't find any upgrades at least buy a weapon upgrade. I got a 2k dps upgrade after switching my old staff out for a new one.

Any time I use AH I enter INT and Vitality in the search for whatever item, and the max price i want to pay. Worked well so far. For instance for your wiz, you might try bracers with 50int and 50 vit for 4000. See what comes up, adjust accordingly. I often leave the same reqs for multiple pieces of armor once I find one.

Thanks. How about the monk? Dex and vit? Should I be looking for res for NM?

for the monk dext/vitality, for the sorc intelligence/vitality

i normally add a "has socket" filter for weapons for even more damage attaching a ruby

for monk u want dex/vit/ias -- also life on hit is nice

then pick one res and stack it --- then use one with everything to apply the res to all others.

problem with the filters is they take into account socketed gems. So i'm looking for a chest piece that has 3 sockets and 80+ base int, I usually get a piece of armor with 20 int with 3 socketd gems putting it just over 80, and i get 4-5 pages of useless junk chest pieces with a bunch of square gems.

Not to mention you can't look for rings that have +damage on them. I haven't been able to find a good ring replacement for a long time because of that.

Scroll back and look at the facts of how and what is being done to peoples accounts when they are hacked. Evidence supports the idea of this not being by traditional means. Anyways, might as well stop arguing about it, it doesnt fix anything and could go on forever.

Did you know I am the president of the United States in disguise? And I got hacked too! The secret service couldn't even protect me. I dialed up Blizzard right away and told them they'd go to jail if they didn't give me my stuff back and bring the culprits to justice, but they said that due to game code being exploited, they have no way of stopping it or even seeing it happen, much less tracking the criminals! They also told me to stay quiet about that little secret, but the world deserves to know.

...

The ONLY thing posts on internet forums are EVER EVIDENCE OF is that PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO BROWSE THE INTERNET AND TYPE ON THEIR COMPUTER. No offense meant to anyone who has been hacked, but fallen, if you EVER learn this thing, you will be better off for the rest of your life. You can take someone's word for it whenever you feel like it, but believing is NOT proof. A healthy dose of skepticism is good for you, even for things you believe in.

for classes and such... what does +1 dex/vit/int equate to for dmg and such..

i know str adds to armour int adds to res and such..

1 vit = 30hp? is there a chart somewhere..

Once you get past normal as a ranged person you dont even need vitality any more. You need to practice on not getting hit at all. Once you hit act 2 Inferno, vitality is useless to you.

Play through normal and enjoy vitality while you can, because it doesn't matter for crap in the latter part of he game.
