seeing as we seem to play together a bit i can join one of your games with him and you can see how im geared. however thinking about it i may be off on that HP number

i know you use a 1H + shield and i dual wield

Is anyone dual wielding, or is 2H Bow/CB + quiver the best bet ?

*speaking generally of course, I understand you could get a super rare 1h that might make that build more appealing*

I have been strictly 2H / quiver since the 30's.. I tried 2 1H crossbows and my DPS went way down, but might have been dex/atk% related I cant remember the circumstances.

Does DPS on the off hand stack 1:1 ? So all other things being equal 2 1H 600DPS would be better than 1 2h 1000DPS ?

currently 56, 9K DPS 23K HP
 
Also, anyone that has Pages/Tomes of Blacksmithing around I'd be willing to buy them. No idea what the going rate might be for them at the moment, but I'm flexible.
 
Anyone else notice the difference in quest lines in single player rather than public games? I beat one quest when I "resume game" and then notice when I go pick a pub game it reverts back to an older quest?

What i'm wondering is if it's intentional then, if I open it to the public will it then advance me to that particular quest in a "public game" once it's finished.

The general consensus is that 2h + quiver is better. And that 2h xbows are the best because you are kiting with sharpshooter building up thus creating more guaranteed crits (which xbows benefit from most). I have tried dual wielding also and it was much worse, things died much slower. However it was nice to have the extra +Discipline (and also +hatred regen) on those 1h weapons.

As far as the off hand dps stacking 1:1, no it doesnt. I dont know the math but 2 600 DPS 1h'ers are not better than 1 2h 1000DPS. Apparently at maximum gear levels dual wielding becomes better, but I am not sure if I even believe that. That guy Athene (a guy who has the best items money can buy) uses a very high dps 2h xbow and plows through inferno bosses in a matter of 15 or so seconds.

On another note, I really hate this 10 item auction limit with no ability to cancel. I have like two stash pages full of stuff to sell now and auctions that dont sell means I cant do anything... I dont really care if they dont raise the limit, but for the love of god, can I please cancel my own auctions?

Or give the ability select a shorter auction time (example 12/24 hours).

Yep, its very annoying. But I have found that some of the things I wanted to auction were basically worthless anyways, so I have ended up vendoring all but the very best of my items
 
Don't forget you can still make mules. Actually with the way the sell interface works, mules are far easier to use than ever before since you can select items out of any character's inventory with ease, and the account-wide stash makes moving items around easier and more reliable than in D2.

Even so, I do find myself selling/salvaging things I would have kept before. Basically if it's going up on the auction house I don't find it to really be worth it unless its an especially good piece.

i think it saves your progress as you solo, and then if YOU join someone else, you join THEIR game, where ever they are progress wise. if THEY join you, then they join your game where ever YOU are at progress wise.

I will post it when I get home. I am using either Tentacles or Screaming Skull and Hungering Arrow. However, I have been using Evasive Shot with the multishot rune more often. Some of the elite packs just feel impossible still though. I'd imagine Arcane Fast Mortar Teleporters would be annoying no matter what build.

A great DH build for inferno which I and many others are using:

Hungering > Devouring
Elemental Arrow > Nether Tentacle
Bat Companion
Caltrops > Torturous
SS > Lingering
Prep > (the one that gives 30% chance to not use cooldown)

Good kiting build, make sure your boots have +movement speed (at least 12%) and if you can get another item with +movement all the better. Lacunai bracers are an option for that

lol, I have no idea why they're doing this, the game and AH seem more stable now than I've ever seen this past week. The last time they took servers down, they couldn't get it back for the entire day without additional maintenance. And now they wanna take it down again for no apparent reason. :hmm:
 
It said "service updates". Im sure they have a reason, why second guess it. 😛

EDIT: Oh damn... now the news update says its for an upcoming patch today. Down till 12 PST.
