I've seen it happen, but its rare. Going to fight the named on the cosmodrome there are sometimes a few minutes where I'm the only one there, but invariably someone else comes in and before you know it, there's at least 3 or 4 of us guardians fighting the taken.

Guess now it's try to figure out how to get better stuff. Lack of any easy to find material/instruction manual is laughable.

I hear you, still stuck at 296 with my warlock. I started to get bored with the game so I created a hunter...took me a week and some change but she's up to 295. Playing with the new character has brought some of the fun back into the game.

Find someone willing to take you through KF normal mode or through whatever you aren't sure what to do.

There's the100.io which puts you in groups with people in your area with your interests..

Most of the gameplay is relatively easy to pick up. Some of it is different, but if you have played games in the past, a lot of this will come naturally. I never felt the need for an instruction manual, but then again, I have a 15 yr old who seems to know it all. I know I had and have questions from time to time, but they are more centered around how specific items work, not general instructions. We are here to help answer your questions as well if you want to ask. Learning how things work is half the fun.

Slag has helped me a lot getting through the raid. It really is all about that. If you can get sherpaed you can level up very quickly.

Kidding aside, I find that playing with friends are far more fun than with "randoms", though I do get new friends that way! Me, Slag and his son are usually on in the evenings , monkeying around looking for someone to irritate!

Yeah you just wanna go through the raid to get gear now. Weapons you won't use can be infused to your better stuff. Same for armor.

There are a few zones that were broken and I don't know if they fixed it. Nobody zones in there. Other places seem to have more activity.

One thing I hate about this game is need to have a laptop next to me when playing, so much simple crap they should have covered better in game. Like why can't they have overhead maps of the areas available.

Had a couple items upgradeable with relic iron, is this all year one stuff?

Have done about 8 post 40 strikes and finally got a purple upgrade item (245ish band). Also got a 220 blue weapon from the 200 purp I was using.


Another thing which they really need to reconsider, having to level up all the talent trees. The fun factor takes a big hit when you're swapping from one almost fully developed to one that you slowly get access to even the basic abilities.

I agree on the talent tree thing. I levelled my stormcaller warlock up first so I could do Dee Pee Ess, and then now, since raiding almost requires the sunsinger to have self rez, it's been a super slow upgrade on that tree. The voidwalker tree is like half full but that's because its the default one.

Hey appreciate the offer but i'm on the PS4. Lately i've been doing the sherpa thing with a buddy who is now at level 15. Obviously I get crap for drops but it's still fun in the fact that I'm helping a friend out.

My son has partially decided to focus more on grades (YAY), instead of playing destiny, so he might not be on much for the next week. I'm glad because it was almost getting to the point of having to ground him. He's a great kid, but like his father is obsessive about things and we both could probably afford to back off a bit and do other things.

This game is just so much fun though!! I should be on tonight, depending on what my other kid wants to do.

At least the third was another mid 50's level item pair of gloves so my overall level pushed into the 230's. Mights still be too low to do the hard mode daily story.


For the 2 crucible dailies shown on the main screen, did one yesterday and happened to win and got the legendary marks. I saw reference that you get them whether you win or lose, is that true? Also after the one match it still listed marks as a reward item, does it just not update to delete that or what?

There's only 1 daily crucible match that grants marks regardless of win or lose. The other one, you have to win (the one that gives only +10 marks)

Found that out last night. Did the +15 one and won. Found that more fun than the other. Did a +10 again and received nothing after a lost.


Didn't really do any strikes last night so no gear improvements to speak of, did get 2 of the dark age quest drops. Spent most of the time working the quest line to open the Petra bounties. Oh boy is that one boring PITA time when solo.

What's wrong with the VoG story mission?

Always get to the last waves then get a couple of the elite mobs rush me and i'll generally take one out but the second manages to tag me just before he dies.

Wouldn't be bad if they saved progress between waves but when it happens a couple times in a row decide it's losing enjoyment.

We ran hard mode last night and finished it. Got a 320 sniper which i will be putting into the black spindle.

I am not sure what is going on tonight yet. It's my son's birthday and i think we are going to be out for awhile. Will play it by ear.

What is your light level now? My titan is 316 and lock is 308 so I'm about ready to start doing hm on the warlock.

Guess I need to make a hunter. Already have a few exotics for him like the bones of aeo? and a helm and gloves.
