then they haven't played the game enough to be able to do the Raid. That sucks for the .05% of people who had the worst of luck, but if you've played this game enough, you will get drops. Playing the Raid is not a right, its a privilege for those who are geared enough to do it. Also, there are purples that you can buy with enough marks to do the raid. Many purples are better than exotics actually.
People that "aren't leveled" shouldn't be attempting the raid......again in my opinion.
Still no solar after everyone got ice breaker lol
The raid starts at 26, what level do I have to be before I can do that?
If you have a solid group of players at 28+ they can carry you as a 27. I've seen a 26 get carried, but he didn't contribute a single thing and died A LOT. I would recommend being at least a 28 to do the raid and enjoy it.
To do the hard raid you pretty much have to have 4 30's.
Do you know when Ice breaker was last available from Xur?
edit: And FYI there is no reason every player can't have a legendary arc sniper. The Vangaurd Quartermaster sells the Episph 2261 which is a legendary arc sniper with damage(end of clip) and reload buffs (empty mag). Completely worth the V. Marks.
It was a while back. I want to say a month ago but can't be positive on that.Do you know when Ice breaker was last available from Xur?

That goes back to my point. A lot of forums have people requesting specific levels when grouping. So for some people they might quit because they feel like no matter what they do, they can't get gear drops to hit the next level. It is bad design. No loot luck and you are stuck. If you have a solid group of players at 28+ they can carry you as a 27. I've seen a 26 get carried, but he didn't contribute a single thing and died A LOT. A 26 is doing only roughly 55% of his max damage with a level 300 weapon against lv28 enemies at the end of the raid. Then again I have seen lv29s on hard who can't pull supplicant duty and die. Can't revive in hard mode. And to top it off, it isn't like the gear makes that much of a difference. A level 26 who can avoid being hit with a good set of weapons is going to be more use than a level 28 with blue weapons who can't avoid crap. But, people don't care about that. The way the gear is tied to the level, with little consideration for things like weapons, really muddies the gap that should be created by players who can and can't do progression. At least, in games like WoW, you knew if someone had a certain level of gear, it could be assumed they could do the next slightly harder set of raids. Destiny doesn't have that kind of progression. They have grind and find and then maybe you'll be high enough level to find a group.
If you could get to 26-27 I could probably pull a group together to carry you through normal. Last week I did it with only a group of 5 cause one guy kept disconnecting. Can you have more than 3 people in a fire team? Or is it allowing more for a raid? I'll never get to a raid lol.

You sure about that? I've found a total of 4 legendary items ever and one wasn't even for the class I was playing and the other turned into a mote of light (which can't happen anymore, but this was before that). Now, I have both specs leveled completely and all my welfare epic armor (along with an exotic helm) fully leveled. Me and RNGesus aren't exactly on friendly terms. I have terrible luck in loot games. If it wasn't for some savvy shopping on the AH in D3, my thousand+ hours would have had me entirely in rares, and not particularly good ones either. I feel I earned his scorn when I got fill BiS for the cheap DKP in Wrath of the Lich King, got my Invincible and /gquit, sold my gold and uninstalled.
And frankly, at this point, I don't have the time to grind out 50 of each upgrade material to get leveled. The raid starts at 26, what level do I have to be before I can do that?
And, if you do think so few people just aren't putting in the time, you don't understand how end game content works on MMOs. You're lucky if 20% of the total population can get to it.
4 legendaries or 4 exotics? If its legendaries, thats hard to believe and pretty shit luck dude if true. I hear you about the farming, its a pain.
you need to be 27 to do the raid, which can easily be attained by rank 2 in crucible/vanguard with 63 marks for each piece. You then need to farm to upgrade those pieces of gear. I don't know, the games been out for a couple months, and over 90% of the people on my friends list are at least level 27 with one character.
I don't think Destiny is a MMO, its not close to an MMO in my opinion. level 30 is end-game.....until the DLC comes out.
some people have that kind of shit luck.
i had great luck in the past 2 weeks and was basically getting 1 legendary engram a day, either from drops/strikes or the cryptarch
dread was with me on a lot of those days
