No...even the hotfixes are more than 2MB.

Speaking of content I played FFXI for years and after you lvl cap you start doing end game stuff. The thing is, the whole end game was super small. Sky for example was not that much stuff to do. Farm items to pop an NM and kill it to hopefully see gear drops. That was it for a long time until they added more end game stuff to do. This can be compared to the raid. You do it over and over to get gear. When you do all that is left is to help others do it. You also fought the same monsters over and over for XP.

This is how grinding works. For some people its OK. For others its not. I don't have a problem with it because I can do it with cool people. Like doing the raid last night. It was a little frustrating at times and it glitched a bit but it is a lot of fun anyway with good people.

And how long did it take to get to that end game content in FFXI? I'm sure it was a hell of a lot longer than the short time it takes to get to 20 in Destiny. Also, in FFXI, did they make you grind and kill the exact same monsters and areas you killed while level 1?

Why can't we complain about this game that we play? If we are unhappy with it we shouldn't just say too bad and take it as it is. They have changed things by us complaining like drops or weapons. The core game is great, it's everything else around it that needs big improvements.

It was frustrating, cause I got the shotgun a third time and the shader a third time. Which means I got sh!t for my hunter this week and I'll be stuck on 29 for another week at least. They should really not allow an item you already have to roll again D:
Yeah I got a second VOC and before that on my main I got a second epilogue. One guy really wanted epilogue too and I got two. I think Anubis has gotten hawkmoon 4 times or so now from various events.

I got to lv75(lvl cap at the time) in FFXI in a shorter time than I have played destiny and I haven't hit 30. The difference is your level in destiny relies in luck. In other games it is what you do and your skill.

What I am saying though is that the amount of stuff you actually do once you cap your level or get to end game level isn't a whole lot different than other games I have played. You grind high level areas and boss fights for gear.

I agree they need to add a vendor in the tower where everyone can go and search for others to do crap with. Leveling up on your own isn't as fun. I'll be using this site now.

I wouldn't mind a vendor that functions as the site does either but like the others have said destinylfg is pretty good we needed 4 people for a raid and got at best 10 requests in about 6 minutes before i could remove my posting and 3 people in about 11 minutes the next time we were short 3.

surprisingly most of them seem pretty cool (the ones with headsets to gauge attitude).

I'll check it out next time I get a chance to play. I'm usually not by a pc if I'm playing console but I have my phone on me to check it out.

Preaching to the choir Qbah...iv'e finished the full raid 2-3 times and joined in at different sections multiple times and iv'e yet to get a single piece of raid gear lol.

My buddy is getting repeats of raid gear he already has, I usually end up with shards.

My best run was the raid sniper and vision of confluence (i hate scout rifles but this gun is amazing) and the raid shotgun. I was not pleased getting all weapons and no gear while everyone else was complaining they didn't get any weapons.

All that to say this i'm content at 29 and if I get gear I get gear if not then whatever, the dlc might help with that.

I actually thought the amount of content they announced in the first DLC was what they would update the game with for free, and the first DLC would be beefier, akin to the amount of "free" content you get in WoW in between expansions. Oh well. I didn't really have any basis to believe this, I just figured Destiny would be a pretty good game if it got periodic free updates and meatier paid DLC. Knowing it won't get any free updates changes the outlook from a 8/10-ish game to a 7/10-ish game for me.

You're not alone. I too thought as the game started rolling, they would add a new strike here, some new weapons/armor here, and a major raid here (which I guess VoG could be, but still). Oh well.

The thing is though, this isn't WoW where you pay $20-60 for the game and then $15/mo on top. This is a $50-60 one time fee and then additional cost for DLC, so I guess it makes sense that it's not as much content. Oh well.

I can give you admin privileges there as well.

I'm just saying but Guild Wars 1/2 gave you tons of extra content for free and only paid for it once. I used to love playing it. Even had tons of Halloween stuff for like the whole month to do. Most of us were just expecting more from this game with how much Bungie hyped it. Like I said, it's not a horrible game, I still have fun from time to time but it's just the lack of content really hurts it.

Its two strikes, more story, more bounties, new daily and weekly stuff to rotate in, and a new raid area. This doesn't take into account the new gear and such.

Bounties don't count as new content, and neither do the daily and weekly things.

'More story' suggests that there actually is a story for them to expand on in the first place.

So the new content is two strikes and a raid. Erm, great. Maybe the new raid will have more than two bosses this time...?

OK so nothing will make you happy.

Can't wait for everyone who complains to stop playing so the people who actually have fun in the game can have an actual discussion about the game. It is the same tired arguments over and over. God forbid a game is actually fun to some of us.

I see the Destiny Defence Force has mobilised itself again. How goes the construction of that echo chamber?

There's plenty of things that will make me happy, but oddly enough a game with a paper-thin story and paper-thin content isn't one of them.

I stopped playing the game about a week ago but seeing as this is an open discussion forum, you may well have to put up with me for a while longer yet.

What does this even mean? Why are you expecting any new arguments when the problems that existed at launch are the same problems that exist now?

Cause we have heard them all before. We know. There is no point bringing it up all the time.

Changing the subject. Is patience and time worth buying for someone who already has an arc sniper and a max ice breaker?

Unfortunately for you, you don't get to decide what is and what isn't worth discussing.

If you want to dictate the flow of discussion you'll have to setup your own website and moderate it accordingly.

It's not like you can spend the coins for anything else... You already have the best weapons. You'll get some grimoire points and a sniper which makes you invisible when aiming. It's fun, I guess? No matter if you have similar guns already ;-)

I purchased it, I like to collect things

also gambled on the head, got the warlock one that I didn't already have + its got better stats, so I will level that.

also got gloves in the raid (again) also better stats so at least I have something to upgrade again. still no boots

I grabbed it for my hunter to go with ice breaker and Praedyth's Revenge. I don't need anything else this week anyways so why not. for me it's replacing a rare arc fusion rifle though.

What is your current arc sniper and how many coins do you have?

I look at it the way you described it in your second paragraph personally, that being said i would have preferred something closer to 4 new strikes in the dlc but 2 will have to do.

I am done with the game(1st one anyway) but I am very curious what happens with a sequel. I am hoping any and all locations they might add before then will for sure be part of a sequel. More locations, more story and more variety in the actual gameplay would be huge, oh and fix the dreadful dialouge

I have 67 coins and I have a legendary arc from the vanguard. Epitaph 2264 or something like that. I also have praedyth that I am trying to level. I guess I'll buy it. I'll more than make up the coins next Tuesday.

Hmm you can definitely afford it...you'd have 50 coins left over but i'm a fan of the epitaph 2261, my Titan has two (one void and one arc) and it's a very good gun.

I'd say get it if you have another character or plan on building one otherwise the epitaph is fine.

I've kinda forgotten about this game the last few weeks.

Should I choose to jump back in at some point, will I need to have the DLC or can I continue playing the game as is with just the base game?
