I'm pretty sure I beat all the other story missions, but do I need to also beat all the strike missions as well?

Additionally, I hit the "triangle" button to skip the 30 second mission debriefing part after I finished the last stage. Could that have caused me to not get the ending scene or gun?

Yeah you skipped the missing completion screen and rewards. You have to do it again.
 
apparently the nightfall this week is all elements burn

I should be able to get to 27 tonight and I need 2 other people to do it with as well as the weekly heroics which are void burn
 
I am doing the nightfall followed by the weekly tonight around 5est. we may have one spot open.

what is this weeks nightfall mission?

I don't think I can make it home that early + ill need a little time to get to 27. I just need a few more marks from bounties/patrols/whatever
 
Anubis I need it too and I doubt I'll be getting it done tonight. I gotta go to dinner at some point, my sister's birthday. I haven't found out the time so I can't plan anything right now.

I don't really care about the extra XP for the week, I am just looking for shards and engrams really.

If anyone needs to fill a slot for the nightfall or weekly and I am online I am willing to hop in your team even if I already did it.

On PS4 BTW in case anyone was wondering.

Anubis and cmdrdredd, look me up later this week if you want to tackle this. I will have more time on Thursday evening and off Friday, but may have time tomorrow evening also.
 
people on reddit saying you can solo the nightfall, just let the vex and fallen fight it out till they mostly kill each other and then clean up with a sniper

Yeah I heard about that. We just did it but we cheesed it a bit by staying at the ledge before the boss area and took pot shots.
 
It's annoying when you're doing the nightfall but some people insist on blowing past certain portions where things WILL one-shot you. Back to orbit, win!

"We have to be faster to get through that spot" dude, really? We're already going max speed.

Heh yeah, you really need to stick together and plan each section a bit.

Not to mention, there's no time limit on anything in Nightfall... You can take as long as you need with everything. Enrage timers are only in Vault of Glass 😉
 
ill hit 27 today (WOO), actually did yesterday when I got those boots and 1 upgrade but I salvaged them and got other boots with better stats on them.

also finally got a legendary wep, vanguard sent me a scout rifle when I got to lvl 3
 
Question. In patch 1.02, it noted that legendary engrams will only produce a legendary item now.

Well, last night, I ran the daily heroic and got a legendary engram as a reward. When I went to the cryptarch, I highlighted over the engram and it said it could be decoded into a rare, leg, or exotic. Thankfully I got a leg still. However, why is the possibility of a rare even on there? Thought the patch 1.02 fixed that?
