And that's the problem with this game, they themselves Bungie keep saying it's a social game but it is literally the least social shooter since the PS2 generation.

I just don't understand their aversion to voice chat. Nothing even in the damn Crucible.

The Tower is supposed to be the "Social Hub" and yea all you can do is dance with each other. Can't even talk to each other.

People have done the nightfall, level 28 strike at level 26.

Also you should read Bungie's developer notes. They are going to be adding an opt in for fireteam chat with randoms. Talking to random people in the tower is a bad idea. How would you like some socially awkward idiot blasting music and screaming into the mic? Because that is what would happen with random people in the tower. There are way too many trolls.


Edit: Just did some Tiger strikes and ended up with 15 Blue engrams and so many greens I had to clear inventory slots to pickup new ones. No purples though. Also of note I really hate when people run out into the open and get killed then sit there and don't revive because they expect us to come get them. I'm sorry, you're down in the middle of Phogoth's pit you aren't getting revived.

I agree, the social aspect of this game is basically missing, I'm a long time MMORPG gamer sooooo... yeah, and if you're rerolling a new class, it's going to be difficult finding fireteams below level 20 now that the mass majority rushed to 20+.

That's why there's the mute button. The problem is as bad as you say it is.
 
What they really should add is a LFG section in the roster. You can put a little message saying "Looking for nightfall team" or "looking for weekly strike team" And you can go through the roster in the tower or wherever and see who might be looking for a mission.

Not that I know of. It must be a random glitch. I thought maybe Destiny had a free weekend. Kind of like Forza had but have yet to find anything on the internet.

This. It's annoyingly stupid to get grouped up with 2 other people only to....not be able to communicate.

Frankly, I wish I hadn't bought the game. It's a total let down to me.

I like it. Though the pink-ish color is a bit weird. You can get the same ship with a different color from the Vault of Glass. Also, Rope to Heaven (rare random ship) has the same front curved hull.

It's all fluff in the end, unfortunately... same as the class item, just visible less...
 
Ships should give bonuses. What is the point of a legendary ship that doesn't really look different from another except color? Maybe have them give you extra ammo when you land or give you extra glimmer from enemies for a short time after landing. Something to make them stand out. Otherwise there is no point to them. I have 8 ships now.

Yea, there should be some bonuses. I think starting ammo after landing in PvE would be great. Or perhaps vendor access without the need to land at the Tower?

My vault and both chars are filled with ships... I have a whole fleet :/ Rage187 has a dozen or so too...
 
Also I was on another forum and we have come to the conclusion, albeit without any real evidence, that there is a weekly cap on ascendent materials from public events. I have personally done 10 events over the last few days and gotten zero energy or shards. Others have reported that after a certain point they simply stopped getting them except the guaranteed 1 per day from the postmaster. None of us could figure out where it caps out, but I noticed it around the time I capped my vanguard marks for the week. I can't say that has anything to do with it, but I can say with certainty that I am receiving no more rewards for public events until the reset on Tuesday.

Seems so, I have done 10s of public events and have gotten zero shards or energy except from the daily reward. Last one I got was just after the patch hit. I did dismantle some weapons and armor, so I guess I hit that cap really fast...

I thought the public events were capped to 1 per day for rewards.


Finally hit 26 this weekend. Ended up buying the exotic hunter armor. Now just to upgrade it!

I don't know how many hours I have, but I've yet to get an exotic bounty. I don't even know where I would get one. In the mail? Does a regular bounty randomly change? Do you find it?
 
I've gotten 7-10 exotic weapon bounties. Qbah as well. You supposedly get them from turning in lots of regular bounties. You turn a reg one in and you get prompted to choose an exotic weapon bounty.

You'll even get prompted for one you have already completed. I have been offered Thorn, Bad Juju and Invective 3-5 times. All I want is the one for Unknown Patron.

Pretty sure it just shows up, then you get to choose between one of 3 exotic bounties, each one giving you a different exotic weapon, there are a total of 6 available and you get a random choice of 3 to pick from.

If only, I have been doing all the bounties I can, not ever day as I dont get on every day, but any day I am on I make sure to complete all the bounties I can. Still haven't got anything after 60+ hours of playing.

If it's RNG based, it's bullshit.

only guaranteed 1 after the first gold tier pub event. it comes to you in the mail

any after that you will get at time of completion, and the chance is low

as for exotic bounties ive done between 10-15 every day since I started playing, have not seen one yet
 
I'm on my second exotic bounty at the moment where I now need to kill a bunch of guardians in the crucible. Such a pain in the ass as every death sets me back. The first one had me grinding for days with stupid tasks. I'm not a fan of these bounties. At least it's not grinding that second level over and over and over again. How many times must I kill that stupid Fallen leader?
