well i got to 21 last night, like 2 light shy of 22, so maybe i will be 24 on saturday
i do have to go to the eye doc at 930

The way I look at it, it's not like he got it in lieu of you, so it's not too big of a deal. Plus, if he's not going to play, then what good is getting gear? He'll stand around and get the best gear, then realize that there's nothing else to accomplish and still won't play. Lose lose.

Its just the fact that you can do nothing and end up with the best loot. A level 29 should get some kills so you have to go out of your way to do nothing to have 0. It is a broken loot system.

In other news Xur has Red Death pulse rifle again and warlock gets shafted yet again with the damn sunbreaker gauntlets. Oh well...guess I save my coins until next week.

We need to do weekly on my titan so I can get 9 more coins for my hunter to get the Golden Gun helmet 😛 Used 23 coins on the sparrow upgrade and I'm left with 4 🙁 Need 13 for the helm...

Unfortunately that won't happen unless you get lucky with loot. You really do have to grind once you start getting past like 22. I was lucky and got something to push me to 23 but this game does not have easy progression after the early 20's.

Didn't try it yet. We can make a race on the Moon in the evening and compare 😀

You can get to level 28 with just the purple armor from the vanguard trainer. Add in one exotic and you can hit 29.

Head and chest from Queen's Wrath = 2 legendaries. Gauntlets and legs from Vanguard need 130 marks (2 weeks as max 100 marks / week). Hell you can get 3 pieces for 195 marks and just get a helmet form the Queen (as those missions are tough).

That alone should give you 24 without any experience on the gear. Add experience (from bounties) and you get to 27-28 fast (max 28). One exotic piece from Xur and you're at 29 after maxing it.

Sure, it all needs ascendant shards, but you should be getting them from the daily heroic, running the public events and dismantling / identifying rare or legendary engrams. Which you'll be doing in parallel to the other stuff. Also a few Cryptarch levels on the way should with a bit of luck yield a legendary or two.

It's all doable 🙂 And not really that hard.

every day, you should do the PVE vanguard bounties. Every day. They are easy.

I do those, a cpl of the heroic ones gave me issues when I was lower level, also doing the daily strikes but seems someone or both other people just leave and well them im fed

Which is exactly what I said. You have to grind. You can't level up to 28 from 22 in one weekend. It takes weeks of grinding to get to that level because of the cap if weekly marks you can get.

I'm getting zero ascendant shards, just the ascendant rods 🙁 Did a ton of patrols and the daily quest on higher difficulty.

Was able to get Red Death from Xur today. Was pricey but I needed a better main.

I dislike pulse rifles so I will be skipping this week's weapon from Xur. Gonna hold out for a scout rifle if it is better than my legendary scout or if he has fusion rifle.

Currently I am sitting on two exotic auto rifles (Monte Carlo and suros regime). Both 1 upgrade away from max. A legendary fusion rifle with solar damage and a legendary sniper rifle with void damage (both a couple upgrades from max). Two legendary heavy machine guns. One void damage that I just got last night and another with solar damage that is a couple upgrades from max. I will be completing an exotic bounty for super good advice heavy machine gun as well which is also solar. I don't know if my legendary will have better perks to it, I will have to compare.

That depends. A friend of mine hoarded ascendent and got carried through weekly and daily stuff. He went from 21 to 27 in a day because he had the marks for gear and the shards to upgrade already. That is not typical though by any means.

Once you hit the level 2 rep, it is extremely easy to get geared. Doing the bounties is what is the most time consuming. Especially, once you hit 23 and can do the highest level strike. Plus, if you find someone willing to carry you through the Queen's Bounties, you get an easy level boost right there.


Anyone want to do the weekly on Xbox One this evening? I need some strange coins. I have awful luck and have 12. I literally need one to get an armor piece, but I might actually try and grind my way to the pulse rifle.

No, but what are you grinding? Use DestinyPublicEvents.com and you can max out Vanguard marks in a few hours.
