Some require queen emblem and shaders. Was playing with my friend last night and he had them both equipped but wasn't able to complete the bounty for some reason. I was able to do some queen bounties at level 20. I ended up doing the final mission or raid with my two friends who already finished it because they figured I could get some legendary gear.

Most of them are super easy (200 fallen headshots, complete a strike, kill some named mob, kill 20 guardians with sniper rifle, etc). You could stack the coins while you're waiting to hit like 24.
 
If anyone on PS4 wants help on queen's wrath missions or if you want an extra person for your fireteam for anything (daily story, strikes etc) I will be more than willing to jump on the game if I am not online. Just message me on PSN or PM me here . My PSN ID is the same as here (cmdrdredd). I am usually at home after 4PM eastern. I will be off and on until I clear a couple new games off my list as I mentioned before.

The damage is pretty hard, and the Uber shark's shields require the proper element for you to really take them down. You can 2 shot them with the right element level 20 blue sniper, in my experience.

Even at level 27 it can be punishing. I was soloing one earlier and got 1 hit by the damn stealth vandals. I had just taken out a big shielded yellow captain, thought he was the only real danger, NOPE. 1 hit, insta kill.

Key is to get a sniper in all 3 elements and stand back and take out anything you can't easily get down with your primary. Then move in and mop up the dregs and such with your primary and collect more green ammo for the next encounter.

you don't need it for story missions. I played until level 14 or so before I realized my PS+ sub didn't auto renew at some point in the past year. was not an issue

Not having played the game I have no idea what this even means. It sounds like the whole point of getting Destiny would be to have access to this stuff. Isn't that where the fun is?

Yes. The story missions are solo, unless you have friends online. The strikes, pvp, etc enter you in a matchmaking service, that grabs other players to play with you (unless you have a full party).
 
I was reading something on IGN,and saw that there's an indie making a loot cave simulator??? lol. That's just silly. What motiviation will they provide to convince me to sit in front of a cave and hold right trigger all day.
 
There is another loot cave, IIRC. There are plenty of places where mobs spawn very quickly and are able to be killed just as fast.
 
New patch? Is this game worth playing again. TBH I got tired of the game at level 21. I just don't see the point of doing bounties and vanguard marks over and over. I know there are two expansions announced, but nothing is available yet.

I'm struggling seeing the point of playing anymore. Am I alone on this? Or is there something I missed?

A lot of the weekly stuff requires higher level and is very fun. Up to you.

If you fail to see the point of grinding for end game content, this game just isn't for you.

Isn't most of that content the same thing? Once you get the Legendary level of gear it's all shades of the same. I haven't really seen much difference between the rifles (outside of their type), only different names and maybe a slightly different picture of it. The stats are the same. Even the two Exotic armors I got had the same stats only different names. The game content does plateau out.
