I heard that they recovered the money VERY quickly actually. At least I heard several mentions of that in the various youtube videos I've watched about the game.

Again that is for marketing and publishing of the entire franchise over 10 years. That includes 4 games and whatever expansions between. The actual development cost is not 500mil.

The $500M rumour included advertising expenses from Activision. Bungie has publicly stated the game didn't even come close to $500M to develop.

It would be my guess that they have more than paid for the development costs. Advertising costs I am not sure of however.
 
Finally hit 21 last night. Yeah, I don't play a whole lot.

I can't finish the queen's bounty for killing 3 fallen walkers. Bungie has said that it's not properly tracking that.

For as basic as this game seems to be, it sure has some issues.

Do the Devil's House or whatever strike 3 times. That is how I did it. Other walkers didn't count, but that one did.


Also, anyone want some free legendaries on Xbox One? I have 5 (could be more) Queen's missions ready to do. I just haven't had time to do them.
 
Anyone having problems with the walkers, you have to be right next to it when it died and you will get credit, every time.

Login in the next 8 minutes and you'll be able to buy blue fusion rifles from the gunsmith 😛

You can also just go to the place on the map where you find that walker while on patrol and it will still be there. I just went there, killed it, returned to orbit, went back and killed it again, etc.

I did that twice, only one of them counted. From what I've read, it sounds like you need to be standing near whoever tagged it first when it dies.
 
gah! I almost brought my Vita in to work. I'm going to start bringing it if someone notices them in the middle of the day again.

Yeah 21 is gonna be way too low, 24 and you CAN do it if you take it slow. 27+ to be able to reliably do them solo, and even then you can get destroyed if you don't know the mission and if you are trying to go too fast.

I can solo them pretty much no problem now (well all of them except the black garden one). The problem is that now that they've taken away the ascendant materials from dismantling the queen's wrath gear, I haven't had much desire to do them anyway. My armor is maxed, but I'm still interested in banking shards for other characters or future armor updates. I kept doing the bounties for the XP, but I don't worry about the kill orders anymore.
