Its all the rage right now. I'm going to try and get to 20 real quick and start farming before they patch it out.
 
My friend and I were just talking about Xur and we both agree it's great to be able to buy exotic stuff from him but also kind of lame that now everyone will be walking around with an exotic piece and it loses it's cool factor a bit.

Really the big coolness factor things I think will be shaders that you can only get from defeating the raid, as well as raid specific armor/weapons.

Probably but the exotic stuff has a unique look that stands out and I haven't seen any raid stuff yet.
 
So, I'm about to hit level 20. This game is amazing so far, but I am wondering if I'll be out of stuff to do soon. Loving the PVP, which I never love, and of course the PVE is excellent. Anyways...

What will be the point of bounties once I get to level 20? Is XP still worthwhile to go after? I guess I'd still get some reputation.
 
Oh yeah. Man I'm reading about some good farming places right now. I just need to get home and get in position. These farms are gonna put nearly every player on an equal playing field. Don't think that was what bungie intended...I assume they'll be patched out real soon.

Probably, expecially when many of the spots people use are just hogging low level areas. People doing patrol missions or just trying to level a class are pushed out. You can troll people though by sitting in the area and just taking pot shots at enemies and wait for engrams to drop for you. I've heard of people getting legendaries without even killing anything and when you get one, everyone in the immediate area knows it because it puts a message on the screen.

I know. I have awful luck. I've seen StreamerHouse get exotics and all kinds of legendaries. Not a single one for me... Almost have half the motes of lite required to gamble for one on Xur though! =(
 
OMG and I was upgrading my legendary auto rifle this whole time! Bummer. It was also farmed off venus.

Hrm...I did there maybe 10 times for an hour or so each time. This one dropped within 30 minutes.

I was using the farming to get spirit bloom to turn in for vanguard rep(rank 3 now) and farm the chests for glimmer and whatever I can get from them. I also got 2 blue engrams from chests and a ship blueprint. I was also using the opportunity to level up my Shadow Price legendary auto rifle as well as my secondary and heavy legendaries. When I returned to the tower to offload inventory I got the Monte Carlo. I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep my other 2 legendary primaries(aside from Shadow Price Auto I have the Fair and Square pulse). I may as well keep em, doesn't hurt to keep them on hand. Can always level them through bounties later on when I'm finished with the exotic.

Wow, found my first legendary Engram! Of course, it gives nice gloves for a titan... when I play a hunter. =(

Oh well, leveled up Cryptarch and got another that ended up being a helm I could use. I am almost rank 2 Vanguard as well, so I can actually spend these marks. Level 24 and climbing!

You'll probably start seeing more regular legendary drops now. Also, even if an engram decodes into a legendary for a different class that still ok. You can still dismantle it for shards, which you are going to run out of very quickly once you start upgrading that armor. The exotic engram I bought from xur this weekend ended up decoding into a Titan class chest piece. At least I got 3 shards for dismantling it, which is almost as good as getting the exotic armor itself IMO.

I found a group to do the weekly Heroic strike last night. I thought I was prepared for it after doing so many level 24 strikes for Vanguard, but that was hard. I think I died something like 7-8 times. It was only on level 22 as well. I can't imagine doing the Nightfall strike right now.

Yeah but I already upgraded the sunbreaker gauntlets a bit and my legendary body is fully upgraded. So I'm 27 with the legendary body and sunbreakers but 26 with the Praxis body. Plus the legendary body and sunbreakers gives me an intellect level that makes my super cooldown timer 100% reduction and I get extra ammo for my exotic auto rifle and legendary sniper. So I'm not going to use it for now.

edit: after talking to someone else they sold me on the exotic body I have for sunsinger. Just gotta level sunsinger now.

Yeah the enemies are more aggressive for sure and they aren't phased when damaged.
 
I think LizardSquad or whatever that scrub DDoS kiddies of the week are hitting Destiny. They have already hit Blizzard and PoE a few weeks ago.
