Just found a blue level 20 scout rifle, 242atkI think Xur will rotate stock every week. So this time it may be an arm piece for hunter or something. I finally managed to get a purple weapon, heavy machine gun. It is kind of meh...but I'll use it until it upgrades as much as I can without ascendent pieces. I would prefer a rocket launcher. I am still on the hunt for a level 20 scout rifle. No luck there but I have an auto rifle and pulse rifle. I have seen shotguns, but I am not a fan of them.
I sent out some more friend requests.
We did the heroic strike with Rage187 as 2-man, was a lot of fun and took plenty of cooperation 🙂 Arc weapons were destroying everything 😀
I hope Xur will get the same hunter helmet again next weekend, as I got enough coins to buy it...

I got 3 blue level 20 weapons from the cryptarch vendor. 1 scout rifle, 1 auto rifle and a hand cannon. I got those by buying green engrams for primary weapons to boost my level. Totally worth it. I spent maybe 8k and ended up with 3 usable weapons including one that does ARC damage.
Anyone without a job tried the raid yet?

Oh wow I didn't know that worked that way. I thought you had to attempt to shoot at the enemies that are part of the strike.Had to report someone. They joined a strike with me and another guy, then went off and farmed while we did the mission. So he gets the vanguard marks and reputation as well as the rare loot reward and any drops he got from his 30-45 minutes of farming without doing any of the actual work.
He had 250 kills the other guy and I both had about 100 each. So just looking at the report it looks like he did the most work, but he actually did nothing.
Sigh
Wait for xur and then build around whatever you buy. Me? I am either looking for an exotic helmet or scout rifle. I have a legendary body piece. Unless the boots or gauntlets are ridiculous stat wise.Maxed out my vanguard yesterday just in time for the weekly reset. I was pretty set on getting a legendary scout rifle from the vanguard quartermaster, but I found a pretty good level 20 blue scout rifle yesterday and now I'm debating whether or not I should just go for some legendary armor instead.
I could theoretically get three pieces of legendary armor for 195 vanguard (anything but the helmet, which is 120 vanguard alone), and then hope that xur has an exotic helmet this weekend for me to buy with coin or motes. Then I would essentially be done with armor aside from leveling it all up. Of course that would leave me with two more weeks of running level 24 strikes to be able to afford a weapon, barring any potential drops.
I'm thinking the armor would be better though because it would open up the possibility of higher level activities and thus better loot in the long run. The only thing that gives me pause is the possibility that xur might not even have a helmet for sale this weekend, so maybe I should just go for the gun now, get whatever exotic armor xur has this weekend and then build the rest of my armor around that. Decisions...

Yeah I have about 20k. I never thought about buying greens and hoping to get blues from them. I figured he would eventually get blues in there for me to buy. I am almost rank 6 now.I have right around 17-18k glimmer right now and have been thinking about doing that, was waiting to see if the cryptarch guy had better stuff though as right now it's all white.
Yeah but I am more interested in the trek to the bosses. Like what obstacles are in the way that you have to maneuver around.Anybody beat the raid yet or came close? I watched about 5 minutes of a stream this morning and the boss they were fighting looked pretty standard MMO style....players randomly get rooted, kill the specific add and shield drops on boss for a few seconds...rinse and repeat.
