I might attribute that to RNG being against you that time. I haven't tried it myself. I am not against it because the chances of good stuff from it is low, I just want the rewards for high level challenges to be better than shooting level 7 enemies.

It's not which sucks, which is why this game is a horrible grind because you can only level up with loot. So many things make me wonder what the hell they were thinking and what they did with these five years they had developing it.

Destiny really isn't any different than any other MMO-type game where you level. We'll take WoW for example. There's a soft cap level...20 for Destiny, 90 or whatever it is for WoW. Afterwards, you start grinding for gear, be it either outright drops or getting some type of money to buy it. The ONLY difference is that Destiny makes it clear how much higher of a level your armor makes you while WoW hides it behind item level and makes you do your own math.

If you've ever raided in WoW, people often ask for you to be a certain item level. Destiny is making it easy to do that because you can see it by default.

The main difference to me is that there are no enemies or events with guarantee drops outside the raid and the queen's wrath eventin destiny. They will have to address this. I mean when you kill some monster with a specific name it drops nothing and there are no loot tables for that enemy. The chance is random no matter if you kill a lv26 prateorian or a lv7 hive thrall. This complete randomness causes there to be no point to do the harder stuff except for the raid spcific gear. Strikes need their own loot tables and you have a chance to get something off that in addition to the normal chance for engrams or other items. They are going to make adjustments to the drops from strikes and other activities that involve something more than shooting an enemy and by chance you get something good. It is a step.

Done, also read up on the raid plan. Looks simple enough for most of the bosses. I wont have a mic (cracked sternum so I can't really talk much anyway) but I will be using a headset and should have no problem hearing everyone else .

Looks doable Cooperation and communication is key. Will take time though and 10AM PST is 7PM my time (and Mike's).

Yup yup, buying ammo now I've got 25k glimmer so I'm bringing as much as I can. I have shotguns in all 3 flavors and snipers in solar and arc. As well as mixed solar and void heavies (no arc heavy sadly)

We beat the opening, got some loot and I'm confident we can do the 2nd encounter with 6 people.

Well I think we can handle the first 2 sections fairly easily. I'm gonna try and get a legendary or exotic primary (still haven't found a single one) so that should help a bit too for next attempt. Overall a decent run I'd say.

Just bought a PS4 and Destiny, only level 4 so far but super impressed with the gameplay. Health regens really fast but it sort of has to considering how frantic some of the gunplay has been so far.

i played the entire story line in about 13 hours, got me to level 18 or so. I think I had to redo a mission once or twice just to get the extra XP needed to safely take on the next mission, but if you mixed in PvP or patrols and such you will be more than fine on level.

All good. Since the other 28 wasn't in our fireteam, he did not zone with us to the 2nd encounter.

The loot we got was ascendant energy/shard for those that were curious.
