It definitely is 100% confirmed and it sucks for people that sunk tons of time in this game, in the long run it's the right decision because they can start from scratch and not have to worry about stuff from the first game to make it better than the first game is.

meh i bet i have more hours in the game then anyone on this board

couldn't care less about the reset nor do i think it sucks
 
I think it's kind of crappy because of how BS the drops were for many people when I was still playing and the time spent repeating the same thing over and over week after week to get it only to have it mean zero. I thought they were treating this more like an MMO where you carry forward but I see that isn't the case and it's split into multiple games.

I thought that was confirmed for game 2 no? My only wish for the game even though I don't play and probably won't play part 2, is for there to not be segregated platforms so you could group with friends who are on another system for the co-op stuff. That way if you are on say PS4 and a friend is on Xbox you can do raids together. Maybe this isn't possible with how they have the servers setup. Especially problematic when there is a semi competitive pvp mode.

So theres a lot more to do again, Updated raids are fun, this is Ir Yut challenge mode which is basally kill everything and pick up sword (new) kill her with it in ~2 min

yes, you have to do the challenge version to get the Adept version that has a burn, you can get non adept ones from challenge as well and on normal, i have the exotic Abyss Defiant (auto) and Fang of Ir Yut (scout) as well as a normal Fang
 
I'm still raiding with my clan and happy we have active members. Managed to get all 4 adept weapons and the Necrochasm between Wed and Thurs. I got comfortable running the sword and can we can take down Crota in 2 rounds.
 
I'm going to pre order this game somewhere but want the digital download. Looks like its $89.99 for the digital download plus xpacs.
On a side note, I've picked up the division again and am levelling up in that. It's different. My main gripe about Destiny is the frequent load times between going to the tower, the plaguelands, looking at your inventory, etc. Its just the delay that bothers me. I hope they shorten that in D2.
 
the changes they made to VOG are great, challenges are fun, they shorted the tedious parts. got a Fatebringer and VOC last night

Can you elaborate a bit on shortening the tedious parts? I'd be very interested in jumping back in this game for the revamped raids but need to convince my raid buddies.

confluxes and oracles before the templar are both like 50% shorter then it used to be, gate keeper before atheon is also shorter and more interesting then it used to be. Both challenge mode can be done in under 2 min

don't think i recorded templar but this is atheon in 1 round

This is templar using the relic holder prevnts all teleports strat - not my vid but ive done this
 
Did those challenges and got my adept Fatebringer and Atheon's Epilogue. Was fun doing them and just had to get into the groove again.
 
I want to pre order D2, but want to get the digital download so my son and I can homeshare a copy. Is the $100.00 gamestop version a fully digital download? Are any of the packages still using a disc?

For the adept weapons, are they just stronger with better stats, or do they have additional passives/traits than the normal versions?
