I just picked it up in the Humble Monthly. Got to the farm, and into the actual multiplayer portion.
As expected from Bungie, it's a great feeling shooter. I don't see myself currently getting super invested in the end-game, so I don't have any complaints yet. That might change. Runs really well on my near min-spec GPU at 1080p med/low and still looks pretty great.
Yeah, I've read plenty of the flak. I think it's deserved to a point. But for me, if you got your 1 hr/$ out of the game, you were sufficiently entertained by the product. Video games have nearly the best entertainment value out there for consumable media.
When Diablo 3 got stale, I didn't complain. I switched games. It managed to entertain me for hundreds of hours. I'll very likely do the same here.
So you can't chat with anyone who's not in some kind of group is that right? I think the rules say local chat is for those in an activity. But I wanted to be clear about it, there's no open chat for everyone on a map like in Guild Wars?
Everyone uses discord.Correct. On pc I think some clans use something like teamspeak for outside chat. Not too sure what options exist on pc.
