Well after America's team got hammered by the Eagles last night, I hope people finally realize Dallas has no chance this year. Parcells needs to bench Vinny and see what Drew Henson can do. Also we should get a long look at Julius Jones in a few weeks. But at least we have 2 #1 picks, thanks to Buffalo, which will probably both be in the top 10 in the draft.

Dallas vs 49ers. who would win?
Vinny is not the problem they are actually scoring the same amount of points last year as this year
1) The defense all of sudden forgot how to stop anyone compared to last year:
Last year #1 D in yards allowed per game -- This year #28
2) The offense can't run the friggin' ball:
Last year #12 - This year #25 is rushing yards per game

Yeah they suck but Dallas actually has several good players on both sides of the ball. Here's hoping Henson and Jones work out.
Offense: Witten is a star TE. Flozel Adams is a great LT. Al Jonson is solid at center. Morgan is a solid WR. All of these guys are young. That's not counting Jones and Henson, which have potential.
Defense: Ellis and Glover are still very solid. Nguyen is a good MLB. Newman and R Williams are good in the secondary.
It's just that the players around these guys are extremely mediocre. Lots and lots of holes to fill.
Heck Vinny is the only reason the cowboys have won a game this season, he has broken several records set by past cowboys quarterbacks. I am a cowboys fan, and while I will never admit defeat, I know we have a tough road ahead. Hopefully Jones will be back by Thanksgiving, but I am expecting they hold him out till the next game after that. I believe they should contiue to start vinney at least for Jones first few games, and if Jones can procdue, then maybe start Henson.
But back to the Monday night game. Even cowboys haters have to admit they played decently last night. If they had a less injured secondary I feel the game may have very well been a win for the boys. Also that bling ref saying no fumble on the first play when there clearly was one kinda put a damper on thier spirits. But again if we didn't have to use almost all rookies inthe secondary, I think dallas could have won.
I am very excited about next year though. I would love it if they could get Vinny back for one more year even if as a backup to henson. I think he can really help henson with his experience. Hopefully Jones will produce the way we need him to. With our 2 #1 draft picks and a stronger secondary, I believe they can and will make the playoffs..

As much as I adore George, he needs to go. I love Rashard Lee though - I wish Bill would put him in. He has great size, excellent speed, and he is very agile. Take a look at what he did in the first game vs MN and a few of the other games. He has great potential and I wish Bill would utilize it.
I don't see the fuss over Henson though - just another wannabe athlete turned QB like Hutchison. We need to go out and draft a real QB and let him man the helm the next year or two and develop like Aikman did. Vinnie should not be playing anymore.
And our corners suck, period. We also need Woodson back 100%.

The only thing that gives me hope with Henson is that he had a great stint with Michigan in limited playing time. Plus he had a really nice preseason, showed he had pocket presence and a nice arm. Hutchinson, otoh, was a mediocre QB in college (as was Quincy) and I'm not sure why the Cowboys were so high on either one of them.

You can label something with anything you want and register it to google, and that's what google will think.

I think it has more to do with the large fan base, winning tradition, and class with which the organization was run by Schramm and Landry in the glory days. The 3 superbowls in the 90s didn't hurt either, but I think Jerry's running of the team hasn't helped their image of being America's team. But no one can argue with their history and fan base which is still driving merchandise revenues.
