Official CSProMod Thread/Release Thread

I hope it's as good as they say it's going to be.

1.6 Game-Play with CSS Graphics.
Should be good, I'm building my new computer as we speak.

eh? I don't really get the point of this mod. Of course I didn't have any problems with CS:S's gameplay.

The idea of uniting the CS community by creating yet another version of CS seems somehow backwards to me.

I don't mind CS:S, but 1.6 just feels a bit better, I can't explain it. If they can somehow combind the 2 I would give it a shot.

this mod has nothing to do with uniting the communities. the only community this really affects is the competitive community, and it only affects those members if this mod is actually good. no one expects 1.6 or source pubbers to switch over to this at all. hence the word "pro" in it's name.

The steam group for CS Pro Mod says "we hope and strive to re-unite the CS community." Even if they're referring to the Pro community it still doesn't make sense. It's like trying to make make 1 + 1 + 1 add up to 1.

Either way it's been quite awhile since I played any version of CS competitively so I'm not really in the target demographic for this mod.

I'm interested in seeing what it's like, being one of the old fashioned geezers who swears that 1.3 was the best version.
