**OFFICIAL** **CONFIRMED** ATOT IRC CHANNEL!

For the people that don't know, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and is about as nerdy as you can get, but it's a great way for all of us to just chat away throughout the day as we see fit.

If you are interested in joining the channel, download mIRC from www.mIRC.com and install it. If you want you can choose any IRC client you would like.

Once you have it downloaded, fill out your user information (no, you don't have to put in your real name). Please use your AT username.

Underneath the "Connect" tab click on servers. Scroll down to "DALnet" and connect to the "US, FL, Rumble" or you can directly connect via rumble.fl.us.dal.net.

Click Okay. Once it loads type in the message box:

/join #anandtech

Once you have joined, you can register your username (and I suggest you do), to do so type:

/msg nickserv@services.dal.net register <password> <email>

You'll get an email confirming your registration.

chatzilla is a nice add-on for firefox.

edit: it makes it less effort & less typing to get into the rooms & see that there's nothing going on.
