The first, while having some issues, was awesome. I really hope to pick this one up if the reviews lend themselves positively.

Right now, Metacritic averages it at 7.5, but most are 80/100 or more (theres one 50/100 review)

Hasn't been announced which annoys me but I think it'll eventually make its way to pc. I am not waiting a few months for this game so I'll just get the game tomorrow for the 360.

Anyone pick it up today? I stopped at two Best Buys and a Wal-mart on my way to work, which was around 11am. Nobody had it on the shelf yet. The girl at the local Gamestop said today was the ship date and not the release date. I know that's incorrect.

Damn only a 8.0? And I put a lot of weight into IGN's ratings as they are usually spot-on for ME, as a gamer. I loved Condemned 1 though, became an owner of it recently as it was only $12 used at the local Hollywood Video.

But damn, I thought this was gonna be an epic game, at least worthy of an 8.5

8 is hardly a bad score. If you liked the first game chances are you'll like the second. Looks like an easy purchase for fans of Condemned.

Its mine tomorrow for sure.

I watched the video review and it was hard to take the guy seriously when he doesn't pronounce 'melee' correctly.

People pronounce it differently. Some say "Me Lee" some say "May Lay".

I picked it up this morning and played through the first level before work. The graphics don't look improved. The new fighting scheme is nice with the combos.

YMMV is right, I fell for that on COD4, they offered COD3 for free, trouble was they didn't have another copy of COD3 anywhere ever again.

Yeah there was an annoying dude in my old Warcraft guild that called it "Muh Lee". It really pissed the "May Lay" nazis off.

Finished the game on Normal a few hours ago. Not bad. I think I like the story from the first one a little better, but like the upgraded fighting system of this one. I re-started the game on Hard and played two levels on FPS Mode.

I was about to buy it this weekend, but the store I chose (out of convenience) was sold out... so I didn't. That may be the last time I try to buy a game for a while.

I finished my third play-through this morning before work. I've now completed it on Normal, Hard and FPS Mode. The FPS Mode is a joke. I finished it in about three hours. I found all of the emitters, antennas and completed all of the sleuth questions with a "Perfect" by the time I hit the halfway point on my second play-through, on Hard. So, in FPS Mode, if you aren't stopping to find hidden items or all of the non-essential clues, you can practically run through the game blasting every baddie in front of you. It's a breeze. This game isn't the type of game that needs an FPS Mode playing style. It just doesn't fit.

Third!? Wow!

I started playing the game and I'm so glad that the atmosphere (so far) is just as creepy and wicked as the original. The combat system overhaul is a definite welcomed addition.

Man..this game is pretty hard! At least compared to the first anyways. You really have to learn the new melee system and block at the right time..etc. The bums sure pack a wallop and can take a ton of damage too! I like the game. I dug that doll house!

I'm considering getting this game, yet I haven't played the first game.

Can I just read up on a summary, or should I really dig into the first game before I try to enjoy the second?

I guess you could read a plot outline on the first game, but why deprive yourself of playing a great game? Just pick them both up and play them.


I'm up to 750/1000 and only need a handful of achievements in MP to complete this game. Maybe I'll finish it up this weekend.
