Whine and complain about gas prices in this thread. All subsequent freaking out and bitching should take place here. Remember to go fill up any and all hollow objects with gas, so that we can create higher demand and push these prices sky high. If you've got a boat fill it up. If you've got gas cans or even a bunch of large airtight containers go fill them up. Use as much gas as possible when doing so, and make sure you spread word that THERE IS A GAS SHORTAGE and that there will be no gas for at least another year. Better fill up now.

If you even *think* of sticking to normal demand and staying in your regular routine then you are some type of crazy. I'll be in Europe for the next week, so enjoy!

Don't forget batteries! I mean you are in Tupelo, right? That's practically a suburb of Houston.

I'm thinking of buying about 30 of those giant rubbermaid tubs and filling them up. Going to call my cousin and we will go take his truck and line the bottom of it with those tubs. I bet we can at least get 400 gallons in the back of the truck.

Thanks for the reminder. I just went and filled up everything I could find, then I had the bright idea to start filling up plastic garbage bags. Double bag and wire tie and you're good to go. Then, when I ran out of bags, the gas station still had some gas left, so I stretched a tarp across the bed of my truck and filled that up too. I had no way to cover it, so I lost about half of it on the way home, but I can fill it up again tomorrow.
 
I'm still working off the few hundred gallons I picked up for the last storm. I should be good til christmas.

I'm sure the bread will make a good sponge for gas too!
 
Thanks for the advice, but I already stockpiled a ton of gas a week ago. Yep, I filled up my entire 15.75 gallon tank. That should last me at least another week.
 
meh, waited for 20 minutes to fill up at 2.69 per.

they implemented pay before you pump there.... good thing i use a credit card, else i'd have to wait longer inside.
