Saw it last night, didn't like it. I know I shouldn't, but I keep comparing it to the old one and the old one blows it away.

Wow I am so happy that so many of you liked it! I saw the preview and with the plethera of one-liners that made me cringe instead of laugh...I was very worried. My hope has been renewed! Thanks ATOT

I saw it last night and was pleasantly surprised. I went in with low expectations, never seeing the original, and thought it would be completely childish. I cam out actually having enjoyed it.

I went in thinking" Yet another kids movie" but it was so much more. It was totally awesome and the upscale humor used in a lot of it made it enjoyable for adults. There are so many one liners that might have been easily missed, which is why its something ppl would be eager to see again. I thought the entire thing was very well done and Depp, while playing a TOTAL freak, did an amazing job doing it!

Really good flick. Depp wasn't that great. Pretty hard for him to followup on Jack Sparrow. Otherwise excellent.

same. saw it a couple nights ago, hated it. First movie i've ever almost fallen asleep in

Pretty good movie, I thought the kids did a better job acting like brats in this version. The oompa loompa songs sucked total ass though.
