I saw this movie last night and was completley blown away. I didn't think it would be able to compare to the original, but I actually liked it BETTER. I'm going to try and avoid spoilers, but the movie is a must see. The Oompa Loompas are amazing 🙂
 
I'm sorry, but the first time I saw this trailer, one thing flashed in my mind - Depp looks like a child molester in that get-up.

Will do. I'm surprised you thought it was better than the old one...better it may be, but I doubt Depp can beat Wilder as Wonka....

How else are you supposed to feel about a guy who runs a chocolate factory, has a race of midgets called "oompa-loompas" working for him, rides a boat on a river of chocolate, and takes people for a ride in a glass elevator that breaks through the roof and flies into the sky?

I saw it tonight, it was pretty good. The crowd actually laughed in the movie, which I have not heard in awhile....
A lot of it was pretty good, the OOmpaloompas were wierd....that whole thing was kind of lame when they did their little songs...but besides that it was great!

And I dont care what anyone says...Depp is the man!

Just saw your photoblog...what type of camera do you have?
 
This movie was simply phenomenal. I just got back, loved every minute of it. I'd like to think myself pretty well versed in movies and CatCF performed much better than I had anticipated. It will probably be one of the best films of the year until oscar season hits in the winter...and even then, who knows.

I might just go see it again, damn!
 
We went and saw it tonight as well. Very striking visuals and Depp was completely in character once again. He is great at playing characters with lots of personality.

The oompa loompas ruled, too. The guy who was the oompa loompa must have had a blast doing all the song and dance. They were much better than the ones in the original movie hands down.
 
Un-freaking-believable.

"Amazing" doesn't come close to describing this one...money VERY well spent. Depp was incredible, some VERY funny lines. Just an overall amazing peice of art. All the characters were in perfect form...awesome!
