I just purchased this board from Newegg. It has all the features I am looking for and then some. The price was excellent, $116 shipped. I will be posting my own short review here in this thread after I get it installed. I hope this thread provides some usefull information for me and everyone else who purchases this board so be sure to post here often with questions and comments!

To get things started here are 3 reviews that convinced me to purchase this motherboard.

Hard OCP Review

OCworkbench Review

OCtools Review

Me and a friend got this board setup and installed this friday. I have been slowly setting my system back up and my first impressions are quite good. During the install we did not encounter ANY problems whatsoever.

The Cmedia onboard sound is suprisingly crisp and clean. I cant say its "better" then my old SBlive! but I think it is a suitable replacement.

The extra's with this board are incredible (part of the reason why I bought it) the Cbox is very handy, so are the rounded cables. The little earbud headphones that come with it are "OK" but I havent used them much. I will give them a better listen at a later date.

I still need to get the latest bios, (read, there is one on the OCworkbench forums) and play with the Overclocking features even more. But I am currently running my xp 1600+ (non agoa? core,) at 1800+ with super generic pc2100 ram.

I will follow up with a much more in depth post in a couple days after I get more comfortable with this board. But as I said my initial impressions are VERY Good, as I have not had a single problem or stability issue as of yet.

Looks like it has some big capacitors pretty close to the socket though; might interfere with large heatsinks.

Just looking at the one pic, does it include all that jazz? Rounded cables, drive bay thingy with USB & audio connectors, and headphones even? Spiffy!:D

Holy crap; reading through just the HardOCP review; man, this board is incredible - AGP and now chipset voltage control? Impressive.

Yep, it comes with everything you see in those pictures, you left out the additional auido bracket that mounts in the back. and the free copy of Thiz linux but your close.

I've had mine running since last weekend and I'm overjoyed with it. Now I want to get a Agoia 1600+ and some good DDR!

that is one impressive board. I have had it with this POS Gigabyte GA-7VRXP maybe I should replace it with this chaintech board. Do you have any problem running it at 166FSB?

I dont have a cpu that can do 166 yet, I'm looking for an agoia xp1600+ now, I have a different stepping. something like ak51 or something, it only does about 152 FSB without any multiplier adjustments. and I have very low quality ram so I need to replace both of those.

I have been running this board since 3-4 days befor I created this post. and I am truly overjoyed. I have no had a single crash or bit instability. My only crashes have come from Overclocking to hard. This board is VERY stable and VERY fast.

here is my UT2003 Benches, and my system specs.

Chaintech's site seems to be pretty screwy. no one knows if they are having isp issues or updating it all the time...

Current the big issue with this board right now is the confusion over the 1/5 divider. Simply it doesnt seem to kick in. Some say its because the ealier revision boards have a hardware problem, and some say its a bios issue and to wait for an update.

Many people are still getting high FSB's, 170-200+ even. But the lack of word from chaintech on the status of the divider is starting to annoy some people. All the 7VJL seem to have the correct PLL for the 1/5 divider, just no one is sure it works! i'll keep you informed.
