UPDATED LIST to include 1.8a c1's.....

As far as I know all c1's are starting with a higher vcore 1.525v and therefore obviously may not be able to push as far since I still hear 1.7v should be treated as limit...

Am currently at 2.88GHz, not really pushed much further yet, as not had time to tweak it
how much vcore so far?

Default, or whatever my Asus P4PE decides to give it 😉

I'll be starting a thread about it soon 🙂

Confused

No great surprise there as all 2.6(400) , 2.66(533), and 2.8(533) chips are c1 stepping chips....The real idea behind this thread is for us overclockers (ie cheapscews) to get the best bang for our buck which is likely to come with the 2.4 or less speed chips....

my personal goal is to hit 200fsb.
the 2.26b is only chip thats gonna get there. if the Granite Bay boards end up with "i845pe syndrome" (167fsb max) then ill have to change my gameplan and go for a 2.0A 😉 🙂 😀

what would be the point of running a 1.8A @ 167fsb? we can already do that ~ no challenge 😉
the next step would be to get a 2.0A up there 🙂

Yeah.. I know, Its just for doing a quick search on google
I still think you should add them to the list.....someone may want one

I talked to atacom and they said they only have c1 stepping 2.4's...Hopefully they will notify me when any other c1's of lower rated come....

I need to talk to googlegear and see if they can guarantee a c1 if one ask for a certain SL code...

Just picked up a C1 1.8, but need to chill my beer before I start on this project. 😀 In fact the place I got it from only had C1's across the board. I got if from PC Club in Lynnwood, Washington for those in the area. I will update with my progress...

Yourself, does Pc Club have a web page for online orders??? Anyways that is good news as we have a confirmed c1 1.8 siting!!!

Duvie-

It's www.pcclub.com and according to the salesman, they supposedly get some sort of priority when it comes to Intel shipments, hence the C1's. I don't know how much crap that is, but I do know that I inspected close to 10 cpu's from 1.8's to 2.53's and every one was a C1. The down side is that they are all OEM. But, PC Club does have a 1 year warranty on OEM and for most of us enthusiasts, 1 year is plenty 🙂

PS-Beer almost chilled, I'm about to sign off and try this chip out. 😀

Bad news so far 🙁 :

Won't pass 1 second of Prime 95 at the following settings🙁which is very conservative)

18X155
1.75v

System info:

Albatron PEV Pro
1x512 Corsair 3200c2
Ti4600
blah
blah

I will keep messing...

Oh No. 🙁
What S- Code is that chip?
Was hoping goign to 150fsb or above with default voltage. Also what Power supply you using?

SL6LA

Antec 350w PS

I'm pretty sure its not power related as I have a P4 1.6 here that does 165 FSB all day long 🙂

What cooling you using? hehe
trying to figure out what is holding you back. Hoping not the cpu.
BTW...what is the highest you can go at default voltage?

Never a slacker on the cooling 😀

Alpha 8942

Highest that seems stable at default is 140 fsb, but still checking.

with these northwoods, the limits seem to be within the CPU rather than heat management short of going to a prometia or vapochill. My watercooling setup for an B0 1.8A improved the operating temperature but did not help me gain anymore speed out of it.
