I get the impression that the audience is predominately Republican,
but that they are dismayed by what they are hearing from Bush and
don't know what to think about Kerry.

Debate favored Kerry, but Pro-Bush type won't budge.

IMO, Bush held his own and kerry stumbled a few times. At best for kerry - a draw, at worst for kerry - a slight loss. I'll have to go to the transcripts to see where it fits in there.
