*OFFICIAL* brag about your job thread *CONFIRMED*

I teach kids to ski for a living (a meager living but I am working on that). Everyday I get to step into my boots and ski for 6 hours. Sometimes I am only skiing green runs (easy), sometimes I get to ski blacks(hard and steep). At the end of everyday I ski the final tram and catch a few lifts with some fellow instructors.

I teach kids (4-6 years old, and sometimes 3 years old). At first this sucked. But now I got a thing going on and it's awesome. I spend all day playing games and have a blast doing it. My kids always leave with a smile and I have tons of returns. I have fun and I get paid for it. You can't get much better then that.

When I come home, I don't feel like I have been at "work" all day. I feel like I have been playing games and having a good time. Everyday I come home smiling because I have the best job in the world.

I do graphic design.
I work for myself.
No bosses.
My own hours.
I can go wherever and whenever I want in the world and still be able to accomplish my work.
Graphics is my passion, I'm doing what I love.
I'm also considering an art director job now, I just don't know if I want to get back into the hectic, pressure-filled field of publishing.

I'm currently a student, so my job is only part-time, but I get paid to sit at my computer and watch NBA games and hit a bunch of buttons. There's a little more to it than that, but I love basketball so the job is awesome. It's also a perfect job during school because the games are at night and don't conflict with classes.

During the day I do explosives and sniper duties for a covert, black op group.
During the evenings I babysit.

I guess banning people might be considered doing explosives.

Came into work 2 hours late yesterday without a single word. Often have 2 hour lunches and disappear for an hour or two in the afternoon for a dentist or doctors appointment or errand and just leave so I don't have to schedule time off.

Other then that, I feel unmotivated because I won't get more then an 8% raise this year. 😀

I'm a Scout/Sniper for the Marines, currently on medical leave. It doesn't get better than spending all day outdoors and getting paid to shoot a gun.

Because I work in a building, through a central switchboard.
I also have a direct line.

Training incorporates rifles, carbines, and pistols. Gun is the all-encompassing term for these weapons.

Has the Navy ever given you a ride in one of their big boats?

I do consulting work, I get paid a 6-figure salary to travel around the country on someone else's dime and tell them their computers suck. I have an expense report so my meals are paid for pretty much 5 days a week so my living expenses are minimal. I have more than enough hotel/airline points that the woman and I are going to Hawaii later this year basically for free. Most of my projects are 1-2 weeks but since October I've been at a very, very large customer who rarely asks me to do anything. They want the comfort of knowing I'm there when they need it but I surf the internet on my laptop a good 5 hours out of the day. I usually come in around 9:30-10 (10:45 this morning because of travel) and I leave at 5 on the dot every day except Friday when I leave at 3 to start heading home.

I can stroll in whenever I want, take a long lunch and leave whenever I want (within reason). I can also work from home and I'm pretty efficient at my job so I have some days where I really don't have to work a full 8 hours to get my job done...although, lately I've been finding myself with less free time to goof off...that's okay though, it makes the day go by faster.

I also make good money and I work 10 miles from where I live (which is in North County San Diego near the coast 😎 ).

I went for a ride in a big Navy boat when I was a Marine. That's when I learned Marine actually stood for My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment. 🙂

Edit: Now I work for DoD (Civil Service) in Supply Management. I hand out sh*tpaper and #2 pencils to Marines. 🙂

I will shortly be a college professor. I only have to teach one class per semester, and I get a year's paid leave after every 5 years. Oh, and I get summers off if I wish. I direct my own program of research, get to travel to exciting places for conferences, and I like to teach. As you might imagine, I am excited to get started.

Son, didn't they teach you, this is your rifle, that is your gun. One is for fighting, the other's for fun. 😉
