It doesn't list some specs that I'd kinda like to know, as in the Pixel Pitch, etc.

I have a sister that lives by a staples and she wants to know if I wanted her to pick one up tomorrow. Do you think I should get it?

This is definitely a hot deal! I'd would go for it!!

Specs for Samsung 19'' LCD monitor

So what's the latest with CompUSA Rebates? Do I even consider dealing with their BS? Haven't shopped there in years because of the crap they pulled.

lol > 150 people @ my CompUSA when i arrived (11:50p). Just waited in the warm car (live in Michigan -- was about 15 degrees outside). Waltzed right in when i saw the line start moving (no, i didnt cut)... everyone bunches up at the front of the store... i know better... head to the back corners of the store to score a few goodies and found em no problem. Apparently they had a Hitatchi 160GB SATA drive on sale... but i totally missed that as I would have been all over that... but then again they ran out of that fast apparently. Plenty of Seagate 200GBs to go around tho. Now to figure out if i want to take a quick nap and try any other stores a little after 6am for the lesser-demaned items....

fyi - a large number of the Two-Day Sales items at CompUSA can be ordered online. Greater than $150 also gets you free delievery.

I just ordered:
Norton System Works 2006 - Free AR
Hawking USB Bluetooth Adapter - $9 AR
Hitachi 160gb SATA HDD - $20 AR
Antec Notebook Cooler - $10 AR

Saved me from having to drive down either now or deal with the crowds tomorrow.

anyone know anything about HI-VAL as a company? I've got a 16x DL DVD burner from CUSA, and I'm not sure if its worth going out to best buy for the sony one. thoughts?

hey guys.. that laptop deal at circuity city wher eyou have to sign up for the aol plan.. the ad says 350 instant savings and 250 "instant savings" with aol 12 month sub.

i checked the fine print and it just said just that.. a commitment to one of the aol plans.. so if i go to the store.. do i sign up then and there.. obviously if its going to be an "instant savings".. i dont want to go to CC and pass up the bestbuy/walmart laptops because that "instant savings" means i have to go home online and sign up with aol and then they will send me a rebate or something of that nature..

I got my walmart laptop!!!!! I actually scored a ton. 3rd in line with about 9 friends. Managed to claim up 15 machines and buy them at will and give a few away to lucky bastards who missed the pile.

Good old walmart threw a curve ball putting them on the normal ground instead of holding them in the back and have people purchase first. May the best and smartest win. My group scored 15 of probably 40 or 50 in the store.

Happy with my 2005 Black Friday 😉

I hit GameStop at 7:00AM this morning, no line at all outside, although the place started getting crowded 15 minutes later. Best deal there is probably $10 for MGS3: Snake Eater new, but that ends at 9AM, so you'll need to act fast. They've got the semi-usual "buy 2 get used, get 1 free" sale going on, which could be helpful if your friends don't mind getting used games for gifts. The poor guy running the place was getting inudated with phone calls about the XBOX-360, which had the predictable answer of "sorry, if you didn't pre-order, you're not getting one until February". Was really holding up the line...

Ended up grabbing MGS3, THUG2, DDR-Extreme, and DDR-Extreme 2, the last 3 of which were used. Gonna have to figure out how to check out DDR-E2 without alerting the wife that it's her Chanukah present...

Just got my hp laptop from the 24 hour walmart super center. I'm on the wireless connection at my buddies house, got to tell him to secure his connection. I was number 6 out of 61. A little better than 9 out of 15 for the xbox 360😉. Very orderly in the laptop line but all hell broke loose for the other items when 5am rolled around. Had to leave early and drop of the laptop due to some of the xbox 360 stories but went to a different walmart to get call of duty 2 and quake 4 price matched. Overall had a good week. Scored a xbox 360 and a laptop in less than 4 days. Now it's time to get in bed but my pager just went off, got to work.

IS ANYONE MISSING REBATE FORMS FROM STAPLES?

I'm angry...I spent $1100 at Staples, and I'm missing 3 rebate forms worth $120.

First is the Konica-Minolta laser printer rebate for $60; second is the Maxtor 200GB rebate for $40, and the last is for the paper shredder rebate for $20. I think I won't be the only one with this problem...so be sure to check all your rebate forms, and post it here if you're missing any; if there's a pattern like this with Staples, we should know about it.

You can probably submit all of those online. I know you can with the 200gb Maxtor at least. No paper trail to worry about.

I was able to order the 200GB drive online and submit my rebate in about a total of five minutes

great deal on the samsung 19" lcd....I got three rebates instead of two, most likely an error in the ad? total comes to $200~ + tax after rebate 🙂 ad shows $229

Got my Canon ZR200 MiniDV @ Circuit City, I know it wasn't a smoking deal but saved $100 so I was happy. Got a bundle of DVD's, MiniDV tapes, a Linksys wireless router for my parents and of course many laughs at CC employees and idiot shoppers. Just have to be persistant, I was told my camera was sold out by 3 different employees (who barely looked at the ad) until I found one who actually checked and found me in the store to hand me the box.

Wasn't able to find any stores (online or B&M) that still have a 200Gig HD. Wanted to setup a second RAID with my 200G and for the deals they were going for...

Anyone know of a place that still has them?

Oh and anyone catch the Wal Mart laptop frenzie on national news? haha fighting over a laptop that is decent but not really worth jail time.

Guys im thinking about getting COD 2 for 24.99 form BB...lol i didnt feel like goin earlier. You guys think any stores will still have it? should i even waste my time?

Me too. Isn't that totally sweet? I really love the Staples EZ rebate, they're true to their word: EASY.

So can I trust CompUSA's online "inventory" says all the stores near me still have the unit. (the $29.99 200G HD)

And as I suspected, inventory wasn't "up to date" although the site claims. Oh well... not a fan of that many rebates anyways. Good luck to everyone on the last minute deals.

If you missed out on the 512 Mb USB stick from PNY for $9.99 AR, they should have some SanDisk 512 Mb sticks that go down to about $15 AR. PM me if you need details.
