No, not really. The worst thing that could happen is Clinton getting either spot, since the Clintons are actually winners, unlike the ObamaKerryDukakis crowd.

Biden actually appears to be a reasonable man, some of the time, and occasionally sets a toe beyond the left wing line. It's too bad he's a terrible politician and is now stuck carrying the biggest wimp to run for President in a very long time.

You see, it's these kind of thoughtful, impartial, unbiased comments that has enabled you to become such a well-respected poster here with so few posts. ;)

I hate to inform you but postcount does not make you respected nor intelligent. I respect winnar111's posts far more than yours.

I can't believe you even went there but you liberal folks seem to have no boundaries.

I have zero respect for you, so rest assured that your lack of respect for me won't be keeping me up nights.

But seriously, I have not as yet seen you make a single intelligent, thoughtful, or in any other way deserving of respect post here in P&N. But let me know when you do.

The only thing you would respect is another guy wanting to fellate Obama as badly as you want to. I'd like to let you know when that is gonna happen but sadly I would rather die than experience your dream.

Again, nobody cares about postcount so get over yourself.

Where did I say I cared about postcount? I didn't. How about you read through again, eh?

BTW, your comments are immature and uncalled-for. Come back someday when you've your grown up and can discuss issues and candidates without getting all worked up and emotional.

"Grow up" seems to be your best comeback. You need to work on that. ;) If you expect anything other than insults to your insulting replies you need to rethink your debating skills. Until that day you can expect me to respond to you as I would any other dick, regardless of postcount or status. :lips:

Well... finally starting to man up beyond your usual Dur-duh-dur antics. I'm impressed. Must have hit a nerve. Keep it coming, let's see what you can really do when pressed.

A bigger "wimp" than HW Bush? How do you define a wimp? A diplomat? A reader?

You sound like an MC at a playground gang fight.

GHWB was a wimp? He was the director of the CIA for an entire year. He probably killed dozens of people.

Yeah, yeah, experience, experience...

Eight years ago, Republicans didn't give a rat's ass about experience. And every step of the way, through two of the most disastrous, costly and embarrassing administrations in American history, they waved the flag for a man who was less prepared to lead this country than he was to flap his arms and fly. A man who said he heard the voice of God in his head and never thought twice about his own decisions or read a book.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I like the new poll that says 23% of americans never heard of Biden. I think something like 15% couldn't name the current VP so I think it's hardly surprising that a few more can't name the Senator from Delaware. In fact, I think the surprising thing is that 77% of respondents actually had heard of him.

Those that have tracked the development of the RIAA/MPAA given federal police powers know Biden well.

He has been the primary Senator (as well as his son) bought and paid for by the RIAA/MPAA to extend copyright laws beyond anything reasonable.

Glenn Greenwald had an interesting thing about what Republicans said about Kerry in the 04 campaign too. Here. I see no reason why every single one of those Republican criticisms of Kerry don't hold perfectly true for McCain as well.

Of course everyone should know that the parties just trade narratives for whatever is most convenient. (I bet if the next democratic presidential candidate can't remember how many houses he owns they suddenly won't see it as such a big deal) The thing is that in the age of the internet I would have thought that people would have caught on a little better to the BS these idiots are putting out.

From the right wings perspective I guess it's ok to be a 'gigolo' if you're a republican, but a serious drawback if you're running on the democratic ticket.

So, Biden gets the nod and in the next set of polls the dems lose their slim lead and now it's a tie.

With Maddam Hussein giving the speech tonight mccain may even have the lead by the next set of polls. :D

I am going to guess the speech writers will keep her from giving the right wing talking heads something to put on youtube. It was funny how she opened her mouth and we havent heard much from her since. Kind of like Kerry putting the muzzle on that mut of a wife he has in 04.

It's his opinion, and it frankly makes no sense. Biden ran in the primary and got less than 1% of the vote. Until Obama wins the presidency, his VP pick has zero entitlement of succession to the presidency.

it would just seem like the likely course of action, but I'm sure it's covered somewhere in the DNC by-laws.

edit: just read them. seems like the national committee has the discretion to appoint whoever they want.
