Hummm, is it me or none of THE OSU fans are anywhere to be found lately tonight. LOL

I'm right here. The rest all have friends and lives and aren't online at 12:15 on one of the biggest nights in football.

Blah blah blah...everyone here is posting quickly on some forum or another before they get completely wasted...but we're in SEC territory, so I can understand if your friends are sulking in their beds.

Ahh... good to see the mob effect in full force

I haven't made one single excuse for anyone. WTF is your problem?

Beer and a team that I absolutely abhor winning the National Championship Game.

What pisses me off most about this game is that Ohio State just doesn't seem to give a damn. Since the second quarter, you have people barely exerting enough energy to even get up to the line. Smith hung up his jersey when he got the Heisman. This is a disgrace, but we all know how much of an understatement that is.

If Ohio State played like this all year, they'd be 7 - 5 at best.

That was exactly what I was thinking, that OSU looked like a 7-5 team tonight at best. This game was a terrible disgrace. I'm pissed because OSU being blown out makes Michigan and the rest of the Big 10 look bad (especially with UMich's loss to USC) but on the other hand I'm happy because OSU's loss was so disgraceful that Michigan's loss in the Rose Bowl doesn't look as bad in comparison.

All in all I'm pretty disappointed in this game, it had nowhere near the excitement of last year's championship game.

Yep... the Big 10 ain't looking to hot right now...

Who cares? The games are over and all that matters is that Florida will be #1.

The rest of it is moot.

No one should ever underestimate their opponent in a national title game.

You're kidding right? It's not like the spread was 21.5. They Gators won 12 games playing in the SEC. Do you really think OSU thought they could toss the helmets on the field and win?

Overestimating = excuse

Jesus Christ I was just talking... let's just close the thread then since the game is over

I'm the Ohio State fan here... I'm the one who's supposed to be the dick, right? Everything's all backwards tonight...

It's great to be a Florida Gator!

It felt sooo good watching Florida win the NCAA basketball championship while I was studying for my exams at UF...

It feels even better having graduated from UF and watching the Gators win the NCAA football championship..

Go GATORS!

I don't know who picked the music to play over the highlights at the end of the postgame show, but it kind of fits in the same way the Gears of War commercial worked

Dude, all I was saying is that too many people worry about perception. The Big Ten had a bad bowl season. Big whoop.

I **LOVE** that song... Andrea Bocelli - Con Te Partiro (corrected!)

sorry mpitts, no riots.

Congrats UF,

I can't believe how badly we played and you guys really stepped up.

this hurts like a mofo : (

Goes to show that a properly executed spread offense with enough talent will generally win the day - also doesn't hurt to have a good D but since Urban Meyer was at Utah 2 years ago, I've been impressed with that type of offense for the college game with all of the motion and misdirection that you'd never be able to pull of in the NFL (illegal shifts).

I'm still angry at Urban leaving Utah (how far we've fallen), although I understand why and tonight pretty much proved that he's a football genius. OSU was just plain outcoached both before and during the game. I think Dan Mullen is an offensive genius also and he should be getting a head coaching gig by next season.

What's kinda funny is I bet USC will be rated number 1 at the beginning of next year.

Why is this funny?

It's just funny how sportswriters will always put them #1 just about every other year. They are a good team but, the sportswriters have there favorites. The other conference teams have to work their way into the top. Just my opinion...

Big 10 usually does pretty bad in bowls.
