What a joke of a game. Worst part is that Saban is going to get credit beating an inexperienced freshman QB.

Why a shovel pass with just a few seconds in the first half?

He said he wanted to get the ball across the 50 yard line so they could take a deep shot at the end zone...

Seems like it would have been better to throw it deep on 2nd down and then have a chance at a shorter touchdown with a field goal as an option. But I'm not a football coach.

Believe it or not McCoy doesn't play defense and Alabama still had to move the ball even with McCoy out when they weren't before with him in. Sadly seems like McCoy was the spirit of the team and without him they are lost.

He should have just taken a fucking knee and regrouped. 17-6 is a two possession game, and they were going to get the ball back after halftime.

What a shame. I was actually rooting for alabama, but after watching the beginning, I really think texas would have won this game with colt in the game. They marched the ball down the field on offense, and were dominating on defense. The defense stopped trying after they found out colt wasnt going to be coming back.

Oh well, 2009 BCS champions: Alabama (*)

Time to watch hockey...

They were marching down the field and being held to Field Goals. So Bama's defense came up big when it counted. Once their offense got in the game it was game over.

I dont think the game would have been that much different with mccoy. They were stuffed on the first two free drives he got. And bama defense was looking shaky. Texas defense has no clue what to do against the size and speed of bama running game.

Also after mccoy got sacked a couple times he would look pretty bad.

who is to say boise state cant match and beat both of these teams, bcs sucks

yeah i agree, Texas shouldnt have been in this game.

He was injured on the first drive

I agree, although I don't think that last TD would've happened with McCoy in the game. So subtract about 7 points from 'Bama's total and that's what I predict it would've been.

They settled for their field goal after colt was injured. It's not hard for bama to make a stand when they know texas is going to run it 3 plays in a row.

And add about 14 points to texas' score.

I truly doubt that. At most, I'd say they'd have 7 more points.

Not to take anything away from TX, mind you...I'm not a fan of either team. That's just my opinion.

Edit: Which would mean going into half-time, I'd say maybe 10-17 Alabama, give or take. Definitely a different game than it is now, but I still feel Alabama would be up.
