EA News update

HOTFIX for BF2 v1.01 Now Available!
The hotfix for Battlefield 2 v1.01 is now available for download. This update replaces v1.01 and fixes the said memory leak. Along with this update, we?ve made available an updated unranked server file for Win32 and an updated unranked server file for Linux.

We want to encourage our community to continue to use the BFHQ@ea.com email box. We check this email daily and while we can?t always respond to all the emails, we do read each one of them. So if you?re seeing something in the game you think is a problem, drop us an email.

Have a great weekend!
[EA]Mike and the rest of the Battlefield team!

This will update both 1.00 AND 1.01 to 1.1.2484.0 (1.02)

Awesome. I was wondering if it would update both versions, I'm glad it will :). I'm kind of interested in the "many issues with the browser". Maybe they are fixing the poorly coded filters to where they actually work?

I'm just waiting for the patch that will support the 6600GT AGP. You think that EA would come out with it because there are only millions of 6600GT AGP cards out there.

Sorry, had the [l=] and [f=] tags mixed up. :) Fixed now.

You think FuseTalk would just use ONE freaking tag for a URL instead of all those [L=], [S=], [F=], [E=] crap :|

At least they could quit trying to "fix" my link with appending "ftp://http://" before it.

Just to note, the v1.01 patch weighed in at 13.4MB. With this one being above 16, atleast it looks like they did infact add a bit.

OMG! It looks like they've actually fixed the filters. Set your filters, then click to update the server list. Upon my initial testing, it showed only populated servers when I wanted it to, it showed servers that weren't full when I wanted to, and it correctly showed or hid different version servers when I wanted. Good stuff! When I clicked the No Password option, however, nothing showed up in the browser after refreshing or updating the list.

I'll take it!!

EDIT: Forgot to say that the Populated and Not Full filters were the most troublesome before. Looks to be fixed now.

Browser filters actually work as advertised now.

Seems like a pretty solid patch for addressing most of the game problems.

Now they can work on fixing the fixing the minor quirks and game balance issues in the game

One thing to keep in mind is that Ranked option automatically includes No Password and PunkBuster
