Some folks on XDA are claiming that this one ships from Texas.
Looks like XDA was wrong on this one. People who have tracking numbers are showing origination in Louisville.
Wow it's crazy what people will pay just to get the 4 a little earlier. People are selling it on ebay already for 550 or so for the 16gb, I saw one going for over 700.
Just got off the phone with a really helpful rep.
She says it usually takes 2 days to process, then 2 business days to ship. If you ordered on the 13th then itll probably finish processing and ship late today.
She said to expect it no later than Monday (No saturday delivery).
Everything is shipped 2 business day air.
I thought it was strange that others got shipping day estimate when I didn't get one. Well turns out it was indeed strange. I just got order backorder email from Google. It says it's estimated 3 weeks before my order ships. Sigh. I think this is God telling me to not get this device and cancel my order. So goodbye N4. Goodbye N10.

And, Preslove, I completely agree. I really think that they messed up this launch pretty badly from the lack of a pre-ordering system, from the relatively low launch quantities (they had to be low to sell out that quickly), to the undisclosed launch time, to the notification system that still hasn't informed that the Nexus 4 was ever for sale, to all of the server problems when it launched, and now to the weird situation where no one is sure when they'll have more.
It was like they tried to do Apple's annoying trick of making something seem valuable by making it artificially scarce except that they made it so scarce that people are frustrated instead of excited. I hope that they learn a lot of things from this launch and do it better (much better) the next time around.
what time did your guys' orders go through?
I don't think it's that. I think google felt burned by the nexus 7 pre-order mess and decided to just do away with the pre-ordering and sell it all at once. Problem is, Google has very little experience with selling hardware directly from their site, and this is the first time where they sold a ton of one thing on one day. E-Commerce is hard when you start dealing with large volumes of items. It looks like Google designed a system in house that wasn't up to the job. I think they should just hire someone away from amazon, wal-mart or someone comparable to oversee a major redesign of the hardware part of the play store, or just contract with someone to walk their designers through the process of making a robust system.
This is just a screw up, not some dumb plan to get hype.
