If I can channel Moonbeam for a moment, I think some people really are uncomfortable with letting their guard down this way, because staying faceless makes it easier to be brutal.

Taking the humanity out of politics makes no sense at all. If you find it hard to have a face to face discussion with someone, what does that say about your beliefs and reasoning?...

I always thought of forums as a place to discuss with people who share interests, and can see others reasoning no matter what the distance. Using it to hide who you are is shameful.

PS...why are there so many cat pics...i don't think many of them post here 🙂

Regarding Moonbeam...
He really isn't having a discussion most of the time... what he IS doing is reflecting back what the poster is saying. That is often not understood.. One cannot really attach Moonbeam's persona to another's post... if you see what I'm saying. If he did personalize his posts to him then what folks read attaches to him instead of it really being the 'reflected' view of the original or addressed poster.

Beautiful cats conjur! I have a mommy cat and a kitty cat, well i have a kitty Kat too but she isn't a cat so.

In a week or so he is twelve weeks and is going to leave my house, breaks my heart but one big cat is enough.

Not concerned, just looked a little older than "average". Not that there is anything wrong with that. I think some people even do it up to 5 or 6 years old.

Heheheh... I could have said that and would have if it were true.. It got not to do with psychobabble. It got to do with reading a post that states as fact or truth some opinion that has as its basis for truth or fact one's own biased view. A view that is not truth or fact is fine to hold but seems a bit of a stretch when used to argue against another who is stating an opinion that is also similarly stead. In other words, if you argue against my argument and we both are talking about .... lets say ... religion and I say Catholics are the only Christians going to heaven and you say "No way... I'm Baptist and we're right!... You're an idiot! Only Baptists are going to heaven." How can either of us state as fact either position?

Now, if someone comes along and calls both of us nutty and that we find relief in our belief regardless of the underlying truth to its foundation because we were sequestered in a closet growing up... is that trolling? Or.. pyschobabble.. ?
