**Official ATOT Steak Thread**

Describe your best steak experience...

mine was at the capital grille in philadelphia...for my birthday a year back my friends special ordered a 64oz prime rib, they cooked it to perfection, man it was so good with the spices ect...i actually ate it all and payed heavily the next day...i couldn't exercise for a week without it hurting...
It was a specially dry aged steak that requires like a months of prep in fridges/freezers ect.

post yours...

Personally, I believe all a good steak needs is Lawry's Seasoning Salt and a little fresh ground pepper.

Anything more is criminal.

medium rara-medium,
porterhouse, sirloin or filet,
mashed potatos & veggies, - who said i couldent have both
light seasoning salt+pepper or some Mcormic grill seasonings
milk or juice

medium rib-eye at ruth chris
with some mashed potatoes and a ice cold coke

a good hit of grinded pepper always fits the bill

I agree. The only thing I do additional to the steaks is to rub it with olive oil before adding seasoning salt and fresh ground pepper.

I also prefer oven over grill anyday. Grilling ruins the steak IMO.

The best steak I've had at a restaurant is at Chops here in Atlanta. But I prefer to cook my own at home as it's better than any restaurant steaks.

Dude, this thread was created too early and now I want steak at freaking 10 in the morning.

You left out tri-tip, dunno if it's considered steak or not, but my goodness some medium-rare tritip would be so nice.

bump for dinner....goona go chop up some surloin for burgers on the grill.....mmmmmm

(i only eat crap on one weekend once a month, so i go all out sorta)
