One punctuation mark per sentence, please.

That sentence has two punctuation marks, konichiwa.

Bleh. One punctuation mark at the end of every sentence. :)

But you could have a quotation mark and a period, for example, at the en. . .

I'm just kidding. :) I often get annoyed at some grammatical errors too. Good job!

A review of some of konichiwa's past posts:

> Another thing to think about is that they might be hardcoded with the "bars" instead of anamorphic like DVD's should be

Tch, no punctuation at the end of that sentence.

> Sorry but did I miss the part in the article where they explained how six crescent moons is a slam against Islam?

There should be a comma after "sorry."

> I'm not really up on my sports memorabilia but look around google for some websites detailing different cards and their worth.

Another missing comma, this time after the word "memorabilia." Also, "Google" should be capitalized as it's a proper noun.

> Or try a hobby shop local to you or even a magazine stand, IIRC there are trade magazines devoted to baseball/basketball cards.

Oh my. That comma should be a period. Also, there should be a comma after "IIRC."

> Definitely a nice place especially if you have kids but I wouldn't go there again.

Add a comma after "place" and a comma after "kids."

> this is what i think of your "wall"

Capitalize the T in "this," capitalize the I after "what," add a period after "wall," but before the last quotation mark.

Anyway... ;)
And if I may attempt anticipate the next question that will be asked of me: No, I really don't have anything better to do with my time.

NO! tEH GRAMMAR. it SUCKS an iHATE it. YOUcompain to much. OMFG MAN go outside. If you seriously spent the time to write all that out because it bothers you so much, maybe you should go somewhere else. This isn't english class or formal in any way, shape, or form. Try going outside. See how people talk away from the computer. I work in downtown LA and can assure you that peoples' typos here aren't that bad compared to most.

scrutinizing internet chat grammar is ridiculous

most ppl misspell or abrev. words 2 save time. a lot of ppl dont capitalize anything. or punctuate sentences properly.
:)D)

I'm sure most people know how to put together grammatically correct sentences and can't be bothered to do it.

Here's one that a lot of people don't know. In the subjunctive tense, it's correct to say 'were' instead of 'was'.

For example, "If I were a cat, I'd be happier."

NOT "If I was a cat, I'd be happier," or "I wish I was able to climb that tree."

Unfortunately, social acceptance of the 'was' form is meaning that most people have no idea that the rule even exists. I blame Clay Aiken's latest song. :(

I wish I could agree, but I can't be that optimistic after being here for more years than I can count on one hand :Q

Seriously. Go outside, dude. franguinho is right. As long as the post is easy to read and makes sense, who cares if the poster plays fast and loose with grammar?

"on one hand"

The emoticon serves as a period :)

thx :)

one situation in which konichiwa is right tho is that younger kids tend to get so used to chatting on the internet that they use internet slangs, abreviations and general lack of correct grammar at school. and i dont mean during recess, i mean writing essays. thats pretty sad.

Their = ownership. Much like "your." It signifies that a group of people (more than one) owns or possesses something. My parents bought their first house last month. Harry and Sally had their first little bundle of joy today.
There = a place. My foot isn't in my mouth, it's over there.
They're = a contraction for "they are". I just saw my friends and they're on their way to eat in that new diner over there by the mall.

You gotta love people that can dish out criticism but can't take it.

Ahh... I was assuming eight fingers = four fingers per hand. It says you've been a member since Oct 1999. Well, that means you've been here four years and change, right? Now let me do some math...

RRrrrrgghhh! 4... <= .... 5!
Hmmmm.

Unless you're counting years from before you registered... which everyone knows is cheating. :p
