OFFICIAL ATOT dark chocolate lovers' thread

I love dark chocolate. Anytime I see dark chocolate in the store, in a candy dish, in a bag or in a wrapper, it WILL end up in my mouth in a matter of seconds. That semi-sweet chocolate goodness is simply too good. A woman at work has a candy dish that changes daily. This past week, I found that it was filled with Dove dark chocolate eggs. My productivity decreased about 50% that week because I kept finding reasons to pass her office and grab some eggs.

Do you like dark chocolate?

I love it so much infact that I keep 11 pounds bars of Callebaut and Valrhona at my house.

I've never tried the Callebaut, but the Valrhona is good stuff. Expensive, but very good. It can be tough to find if you don't have a gourmet foods store in the area.

I like dark chocolate better than any other kind. Where can I buy some Callebaut or Valrhona? I really want to try out some nice dark chocolate.

Trader Joe's has a 1 lb. dark chocolate bar (71% cocoa) for $3.99, made in Belgium.
Has no milk content; sugar cane for sweetener.
Some health-food stores carry "Grain Sweetened" chocolate chips. The sweetener source (from "whole grain malted barley and corn") is supposed to be slower to enter the blood stream after consuming, and thus healthier than sucrose sweetener (sugar cane).

Mmmm.... dark chocolate rules.

My girlfriend hates the stuff... Oh well, more for me.. lol

That Trader Joe's dark chocolate bar is unbelievable!!!

My boss' wife brought in one of those for me and one of the other guys at work. It has just the right amount of bitterness to it to make it wonderful!

I really cant stand dark chocolate. Whenever theres a bag of hersey minitures (mr goodbar, krackle etc) the bag always ends up being full of the dark chocolate bars because no one eats them.

Hershey's Special Dark is the cheapest dark chocolate known to man.
I really would not judge dark chocolate based upon that.

I love dark chocolate. I am quite a sucker for it too. The bitter it is - the better it gets. Man - having cravings now...
