for Gundam Seed Destiny i got the A-Kingdom/A-one at the beginning, but since they stopped subbing would you go w/ SEED fansubs or Haro^2 Tori^2

Haro^2 Tori^2 is better IMO, although harder to find if can't use bt.

speaking of subs, i just saw elfen lied OVA today with my roomate. i am all for paraphrasing for smooth translation, but there were glaring errors even a novice like me could readily notice. for example, when nana was messing things up in the kitchen, mayu told her : "besides, we have more work (where we can use some help) other than just preparing our meals." this is quite obvious as she reaches up for the plates stored in the shelves and nana offers her help.
another instance, what kouta really said was : "i wonder if girls with horns are all like that."
there are more nitpicks here and there, i think theres much room for improvement.

Yay, so the Naruto anime's going to follow the manga. The creepy akatsuki guy that only speaks in katakana showed up. :beer:

For those who are interested, Samurai Champloo is going to start airing on the cartoon network this saturday. Most likely dubbed, but so far the dub work on cartoon network has been decent, and in some cases might be a more accurate translation than some of the fansubs (though not as accurate as the good ones, obviously).

Yeah but he's talking about the manga, which is a written form. Perhaps some stylistic choice to have all his dialogue written out phonetically...

Some of the guys (Ryusuke, Keisuke and Bunta Fujiwara) are serious dicks at times...some of the competitors, too, like the Emperor and Night Kids teams, especially Kyouchi and Shingo. Shingo is a prick. The main character, Takumi, is a bit of a pushover, though. At least he isn't whiny like the kid from Evangelion.

i am surprised no one here really talks about Shura no Toki, considering most of you are into action genre, and action only sometimes. that series really packs some good action with serious atmosphere. for one, i am not a type who watches fighting series all that much, but i was hooked on it for the first arc - it was complete with awesome drama, pretty drawing and all that. just stating the obvious cuz i watched it again yesterday
