The most riduculous thing is that he told me they still had them after the price raise but just there were too many orders. Then I asked "I ordered before the price raise, why i can't get mine?" He can't explain it and just told me it's random. Have you ever heard such a riducolous story? I think maybe they just shipped all the orders after the price raise to make some extra money. Anyway, I will never buy something from them anymore.
That is seriously screwed up... Orders should be first come, first serve - none of this "random" BS.

Mine still says "Processing" too, and I ordered at 10:16 am PDT before the price raise as well. If they don't ship mine I'll be majorly pissed, and they will get some nice negative feedback on ResellerRatings too. I cancelled my order with TankGuys that I've had since the beginning of the month.

Hey just curious, on your order do they still give you the option to cancel?

Cancelling an Order Online

Order Cancellation MUST be submitted directly online. .... Click the "Cancel" button located next to the order number. If a "Cancel" button is not present, we apologize that the order can no longer be cancelled. Once an order has been cancelled, it cannot be reinstated. Click here for more information.

I asked the manager to cancel it for me. But there is no cancel option in the order status online.

Strange.

I have to imagine it's illegal to let you buy the processor for a price, and then have them give the one you bought to someone who ordered AFTER you did, and AFTER they increased the price.

Pre-orders like this really bring out some interesting sides of businesses.

I don't know for sure. It just seems like it should be. If they hadn't changed the price I'd be less concerned... but for them to take your order for that price, then raise it, and give your order to someone who paid more... doesn't seem right. I don't know if it's actually illegal or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. With a little research I imagine you could find out.

You could file complaints with the FTC, BBB and resellerratings.com

exactly. it's a consumer's responsibility to make sure that businesses don't screw over other consumers. file complaints and they'll be sorry that they tried to squeeze some more money out of you.

wow, i've always had good experiences with ZZF but i will shop else where if thats how they do business.

thats BS. "random selections" of who gets the order? i'd be interested to see if anyone in here placed an order after the price hike and got theirs. because that would be even worse. at the very least, they should be excluded from any "lottery picks"

they should just ship first come first serve. completely unacceptable.

From reading about ZZF on resellerratings.com, this sort of thing is fairly common. They also charge your credit card right away like Monarch does.

Sounds like they're running an auction instead of a straight retail business.

This outfit is horrible. The seem completely unable to manage inventory. I ordered 4 LCD monitors on 1/2. No email confirmation was sent. I called and a CSR said "we've received such a tremendous response" that we're unable to confirm any orders. After multiple emails I finally received a response 6 days later informing me that the LCDs were backordered indefinitely and that they had a different (and substandard) model available for $100 more. I'm not shopping here again.

I'm going to hold out for TankGuys, Newegg, ChiefValue, or maybe if I'm feeling lucky, Mwave.

That is the retail part number. Amd part numbers that end in "BOX" are the retail units. So theoretically it has the heatsink and fan.
