I'm from Perth, WA, so i'm not sure how much you could help me 😉

My folks had one in PNG & loved it, said it was a totally awesome dog, but we've got a kitty already, and until we buy a place i don't really want to be keeping it in a rental...plus we both work full time so the little dude would be lonely to the max during the day 🙁

My folks had one in PNG & loved it, said it was a totally awesome dog, but we've got a kitty already, and until we buy a place i don't really want to be keeping it in a rental...plus we both work full time so the little dude would be lonely to the max during the day 🙁

i could help you find one assuming you dont live in africa or something...i know breeders world wide.

anywho, agreed, prolly best you stay away from a pup if you dont have time to spend with them. they are very time demanding and require lots of attn...

Yeah we got the kitty before we both finished uni last year, so she was ok about being left at home by the time we started work this year. I wouldn't want to leave a pup at home alone.

yup...i dont know much about cats but i'm sure most can be left at home alone for long periods of time and be ok. my guy is still a pup so i am crate training him. unfortunately that means he has to stay in his crate while i'm not here. i feel really bad when i'm gone for more than 4-5 hours...so if you are working all day it would suck for the dog >_<

we're looking at getting another one sometime this year. my wiener is possessive as mentioned. she tried to get into a fight with a bull mastiff over a bone. luckily the bull mastiff wasnt as mean as my dog.

if we get another dog, is it safe to keep the pup confined in the same area with our lil maggie, or will she eat the thing?

we're looking at getting another one sometime this year. my wiener is possessive as mentioned. she tried to get into a fight with a bull mastiff over a bone. luckily the bull mastiff wasnt as mean as my dog.

all dogs have their personalities and will react differently to new animals. i would definitely recommend keeping them in separate cages/rooms whenever you aren't around to supervise . slowly introduce the new pup into the older dogs life and wait until the pup is full grown until you let them play or eat together (my dog just owned a teacup poodle this weekend while fighting over food >.> ) eventually the dominance order will be established and the pup will learn its place in life and all will be well...unless of course you haven't established enough dominance in the older dog yet...i would think long and hard before adding another pup to your life...i know the temptation is hard to resist (just too cute aren't they?) but think it out first
