I'd play fantasy as long as it's not for money. I'm far too bad at it to try for money.

Well lets coordinate getting one setup soon. It's amazing how bad I usually am considering I listen to fantasy football talk on Sirius/XM and fantasy football podcasts during the season :/

Not really, that pretty much explains why your bad IMO 😛

Seriously though, you gotta do your own thing. The fantasy "gurus" always spout the same nonsense as everyone else, and honestly most everything they say is pretty obvious for anyone who's paying attention to football.

To be good at Fantasy, you just have to pay attention to what everyone is doing from one week to the next, and actually watch games and everything yourself. To be really good, you really do need to spend a lot of time, however once you know football really really well, you have less to learn from one year to the next. You're just getting info on rookies and others who might break out based on their usually brief stints the year before.

I'm rooting against the Packers simply because as soon as they won one super bowl every other word you heard was "dynasty" lol, also those post-super bowl commercials for the Packers were unbearably bad.

Maybe worst mistake I ever made was back in October 18, 2009 my QB Tony Romo was on a bye. I decided to take a gamble and put in Kerry Collins vs. New England.

New England 59, Titans 0.

I'm hoping for the Bears to actually make it to the playoffs this year.

Probably the toughest division in football. Should be entertaining to see who comes out of it with the title. I think the Bears can get in via Wild Card again as long as they stop the Lions who also have a good shot.

The additions the bears made this year are really good.

Go Niners.

Hopefully they pay the refs off as much as the Giants did last year, so that they can win, or at least play a fair game, if it comes to that again.

I discount doublecheck in your general direction.

Lol, I actually didn't mind that one, the one that I couldn't stand was that "official nfl club" one or whatever that played that awful black eyes peas song and was like "HEY PACKERS FANS YOUR TEAM JUST WON THE SUPER BOWL" and it was just kitschy as all fuck, it was so bad I can't even find it on Youtube 😛

They are the only NFL team in New York

Well done.

Hopefully our defensive line will turn out as good in reality as it is looking on paper.

Honestly, with Florence out, I'm more worried about our secondary. Byrd was quiet last season, granted George Wilson stepped up. McGee on the other side of Gilmore? McGee is a solid starter, yeah... IF he's healthy. But basically question marks this season at both starting corners. And then the linebackers are kind of a head scratcher too. Barnett is solid, but honestly there's nothing "remarkable" about the secondary at all.

Hopefully "solid" will be enough.

Prediction now:

Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers in SB XLVII

Rematch of SB XXXII (best SB ever) with the same outcome.

The current Denver team is weaker than probably 9 or 10 editions of the Colts under Manning, so I'm not sure they'll make it this year (though I am hoping they do). The bright side is that the AFC is much weaker now so they have a better chance.

Oh, time for smack talk. I saw a reporter mistake Sanchez for Tebow today. LOL! I guess even the reporters are getting ready for the inevitable QB switch. The Jets suck!

Except when they're in Canada

Which I still think happens full time eventually

Uh, Toronto is part of New York bro. It's a suburb of Rochester. Just like the rest of Canukistan is part of the US. Everybody knows this.

Cowboys are flying under the radar big time this year. Whether they're good or bad, the NFC East headlines are usually dominated by the Cowboys - and other than Dez Bryant fighting with his crack dealing momma, they've been pretty quiet, with the Giants, Eagles, and even the Redskins taking the spotlight. Could be a good thing....

It seems like every year people are flying high on the cowboys preseason

good point, its been a long time since skins got any hype (aside from their delusional fans), giants are returning champs, which trumps anything else, eagles are still trying to prove they are a dynasty. its an exciting division, i think it will be really close this year.

I think I did this last year as well, so I want to make it a tradition. Post your NFL smack talk here ahead of the season. I'll start:

1. Tom Brady sucks and is Eli Manning's bitch.
2. I am still pissed at Jim Irsay and hope that when the Colts and Broncos meet, Peyton kicks his ass.
3. I wonder if Rex Ryan wants to watch Sanchez get Tebowed.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

Andrew Luck more like Andrew Suck :awe:
