The only thing I might support is a loser bracket where all the teams get a second chance and the last one left in the loser bracket would play the last one in the winner bracket and the loser bracket team would have to win twice to win it all and the winning team only once.

7 games playoff would be nuts. If Steelers and Ravens played each other there would not be enough players left for the supper bowl. They all be carted off the field. Even if you played one game a week that be would be 2 months for 1 round. Dumbest idea ever.

March Madness is more popular than the NBA playoffs?

I think it is more popular. Think about places that don't have an NBA team like Pittsburgh. When the March Madness is around in Pittsburgh it is big time here no one in Pittsburgh gives a crap about NBA. There are plenty of other cities that are same way.

Well I'm rooting for the seemingly presumptive favourite to be the worst team in the league this year, so, yay! I just hope AP takes his time coming back and doesn't come back early and hurt himself again.

I think the biggest question is -- will the Chargers stink it up in the first part of the season or the last part of the season? You know they'll have at least a decent stretch in their annual "Save Norv's job!" derby.

They always finish strong, its either the slow-start or middle collapse to worry about. Every year I get sucked into the 'This is their year!' talk and every year I'm left disappointed. Just going to quietly hope they meet or exceed expectations this season.

March Madness >>>>>>>> NBA playoffs

The NBA playoffs had a sharp decline in ratings at the end of the 90s and has only recovered slightly in the past few years. Plus the NBA sucks compared to college basketball to begin with.

Saints Superbowl win without Sean Peyton, you heard it here first

Not a chance. The Panthers are going to win the Superbowl because our Center says so. :p

The Panthers three-time Pro Bowl center took out a full page advertisement in the Charlotte Observer on Wednesday boldly declaring fans will be rewarded for their unwavering support with a "one hundred-percent, sterling silver victory — the Lombardi Trophy."

Not to much to talk smack about.

The Chiefs have all the pieces in place to make a great run...all that is except QB.

And a head coach. Romeo is a great coordinator, he is not a HC. A lot of that going around in the league today. Thankfully, Spags is back where he belongs - our ex-lover McDaniels, your ex-lover Todd Haley and our new lover Jack Del Rio, all back coordinating. Jack being a great D Coord that can't get it done at HC, can't wait to see what he does with our D.

Thankfully, the division also consists of the Raiders who have a HC that shouldn't have made the jump in Dennis Allen and an idiot in San Diego.

The road looks so smooth for the Broncos at this point. So exciting.

I look forward to watching Manning win some tough games and raise my hopes, only to get injured for the rest of the season and kick us fans in the stones yet again.

It would be brutal but these are men competing, not pansies. Even a 3 game playoff in later rounds would be better than BS one and done. With athlete's conditioning/equipment these days, they aren't getting hurt like they used to. I just can't take any team that wins a 1 and done "playoff" seriously since anyone can have a shitty game at any time. Like I said, 2 or 3 lucky passes shouldn't crown a champion in football.

It must be tough for Del Rio to be on the same team as the guy who owned him severely for so many years.

I'd play fantasy as long as it's not for money. I'm far too bad at it to try for money.

Your fantasy is thinking that your Denver Browncows will win anything, even with Peyton at the helm.

(Sorry AMD, I'm not a Denver hater, or a Peyton hater, I just like calling them the "Browncows" every opportunity I get.)

I'm willing to bet that they'll do better than whatever team there down south you're a fan of :p
