What they don't know is the pilot is gluten and lactose intolerant and the professor was going to force feed the bagel to him making the plane free fall. The passengers are heroes

I fell, in the comming year, we will see major achievements in Quantum Physics and Nano tech and steam cell research, not to mention hardon collidor.
These will piss off the gods* as we will cross the line they drew for us... and...

* Our creators, merely a species more intelligent than us. They created us in their form as an experiment and put the first prototypes (Adam and eve) in a lab/enclosure. They was obviously a connection the their server or something like that that (apple tree) by connecting to which Adam downloaded an intelligence module not intended for us. Pissed off, they shut down the whole experiment and instead of killing us relocated us on a far off planet, thinking, we will just weed ourselves out. But every now and then we reach to the point of discovering our origin and the truth about them they try to wipe us out of the planet and we being a resilient species just refuse to go away for good. Or maybe there are some helpers amongst them like who didn't let Adam and Even be killed when the experiment failed or who passed on a secret memo to Noah....

Since you want to turn a fun, facetious Apocalypse thread into a debate, I'll play along. The book of Revelations in the Christian Bible technically does detail what many Christians believe will happen during the end times. Since these events occur in the future in relation to our present time, this makes it a prediction. Although, it could also be argued that since the events are the will of God, they are not predictions, despite being descriptions of events occurring in the future, but as factual records, given in visions to John by God.

Disclaimer: I am in no way saying that Revelations will occur, nor am I discussing the historical relevance/accuracy of the Bible. I'm just saying that its making predictions about even that will occur.
