About three months ago I moved into a new house. The house is about a year old. The person that I bought it from stated that they had never had any type of pest problem. I saw no signs of a problem through the house either (holes, droppings etc..). Well, I have seen THREE mice in the last week. My rather fat kitty has succedeed in catching and killing one, but they are still there.
I called two exterminators. One said they didn't offer a plan for mice (wtf??) the other said the first visit would be $120 and the from then on $70. They recommended at least 6 months of treatment. I asked what they would use to get rid of them and the secretary told me sticky traps. For $470 I'll do the sticky traps myself, thank you. I've never had any experience in dealing with these things. Does anyone have any tips or ideas that worked for them? I am planning on putting out about 15 of the sticky traps and using Decon under the house. What can I bait the sticky traps with? One person told me peanut butter. Does this sound like a good plan?
