now if only my at&t cable connection wasnt on the fritz.. i might come in for a few rounds.. any idea what the problem is with at&t today ffmcobalt? 😀

was down for like 1 1/2 hrs (no cable tv, digital phone, cable inet) and when my house finally got back up, it was up and down for an hour. then latency problems (~300-400ms to my gateway)... was good for a few hrs.. and it's starting up again.. not as bad as before.. but noticable latency probs..
 
I didn't go to work today, so I couldn't tell ya. I work Tuesday through Saturday. Anyway, if you're gettin 300-400ms to your gateway, you might want to call in and simply ask instead of wondering. 🙂 That's either a network outage, scheduled maintenance, or something wrong that they DON'T know about which will get you a truck roll.

i actually did chat with a tech and said that he also noticed latency on his end.. i guess he was going to check stuff on my end to get a better picture of the situation.. but im behind a firewall so he asked me to disable it.. lazy arse i am on my day off (worked so much overtime the past few weeks, and still recovering working 20 hrs on tuesday and coming into work wednesday with barely 2 hrs sleep), i just said screw it, and just wait it out..

i guess that's what happens when you take a day off nik, everything goes down the toilet... 😀
 
I thought it was just me since my ping would jump to like 1100-1200 every once in a whlie, but i guess everyone else was getting the skips too. Oh well.

You guys are referring to lag...nothing on my end, or something I can take a look at? It isn't a network issue for me, but the server could have been under a bit of load. Anything y'all want me to look at?

I took a look at it (I wasn't at work today, Veterans day 😀) and everything looked normal. No weird processes, top showed that the system was mostly idle (except for httpd and hlds), so I really can't tell what it is. I restarted the server and everything just in case, but it all looks ok to me. 😛

Rob - my DSL is very finicky. The lag is definately on my end of the bandwidth. When its not bitching at me, I get decent pings on your server 🙂

i was in for a bit but I would like to get some sleep before class tom... If people want more players pm or im me... I am usualy up for a game or two.
 
Dan, you're supposed to play with your AT handle. That's in the server rules. Also, there are lots of people in the server. You just have to know when to go in.Catch me on AIM and I'll send you a note when a few of us are going to play.
