ALL the guys butchered the songs last week, pretty much...so how do you make that determination?

I hate Antonella from an Idol standpoint about as much as anyone else, but she did a MUCH better job this week, and did better than some of the others last night, imo (as hard as that is for me to say).

Sure, some vocal talent is required to make it to the top 24. That is Simon, Paula, and Randy's job. If it wasn't for them who knows what kind of people would be in the final 24.

But sadly, America takes over...and America is mentally challenged.

You're right, Excelsior, vocal talent doesn't determine the winner. In fact, it doesn't even determine who gets to Hollywood in the first place. this show is about entertainment! It gets boring watching really talented singers sing the same old songs week after week and season after season.
