Did the fan temporarily fail, or for good?
I had a scare last week when my CPU fan (stock) stopped twice.
Turned out to be temporailly caused by running MMB and hardware doctor at the same time.
Perhaps your test software did something similar.

I didn't believe it myself. I posted about it here and elsewhere and that's what people say, I even heard from the guy in the Netherlands who developed MBM.

I have been running MBM consistently since then and have not run Hardware Dr and my fan has been fine.

Same thing here. I was running HW Doc fine, but wanted the additional functionality of MBM, so I installed it. I first had complete shutdowns in WinXP, and when I finally figured which diodes to use for temps, the fan would stop intermittently.

I finally removed HW Doc. and everything has been fine since then. With the new BIOS (16) the CPU/MoBo temps even fropped a bit.

Yea, but you don't need to "remove" HWDr, just don't run them both at same time.
My system starts up with MBM enabled, HWDr is installed, but I will only use it when I have a need after first shutting down MBM.

Post all of the settings in the soft menu and advanced chipset. Maybe there is something there that needs fixing....

Dont really see any glaring problems. I assume you've tried different VDimm settings, and all GA settings = auto.

Try disabling the onboard sound as a test if you haven't done so. Try 2.5,7,3,3 also. Init DIsplay First should be AGP, but thats not a big deal.

What BIOS version?

Hi, I'm new here, in your excellent forum :)

I would lik to ask about Abit IC7-G's OverClocking Performance.
I know that Abit is a well known as great company, And her Motherboards are fantastic in OCing. But I heard recently that Asus P4P800 is better board, And some overclockers break records with him.

So... I'm little confused.

Whose better for OC needs???

TNX from advanced...

Psycho.

BIOS is 16. I had the same issue with 15 as well...I really beleive that hte CPU is the problem? should I try a vcore of 1.625 and higher?

You could have got a REAL DUD of a CPU. I run BIOS 14. I've heard of instability with 15 & 16. Did you try disabling onboard sound?

Copy that... just as soon as I started investigating replacing it, I noticed the sound getting signifigantly worse from it... sounds dirty, I guess I'll spray it when I shut down... :/
