MSI also has one listed for under $100. Its kind of sneaky the way it is listed. You have to filter your search for the regular ATI Express 200 boards, and it will be the one that is $94.
Its been hiding there for about two weeks now.

Yeah, same with the ECS board... has been on there as long as the A8R-MVP. Someone needs to do a XFire board comparrison!

Sapphire Pure Advantage has been there awhile also. Nice to see some options for the crossfire boards finally.

All we need now is for Via to come through with the K8T900 chipset.
I'm hoping by next month to throw this nForce4 gargage in the closet

I don't think that a K8T900 board will be released for socket 939. Perhaps we have to wait for M2.

Edited

MSI is releasing a K8T900 board by the end of March.

Hopefully AT can do a review of the AT8 and hopefully they can use a board from a retailer instead of the manufacturer to avoid being sent a "cherry-picked" board such as the A8R-MVP...

Ugh! Stop buying it guys. Let me have one first please. 🙂 It's OOS!
I just saw it instock yesterday and I'm about buy it today 🙁
Through the spec. on Abit it site, this board is full of features. One thing I don't understand, it says 8GB Memory. I'm not sure if it's true. If it's true, this board is a must for me.

anybody wanna buy an a8r-mvp off me 🙂?

Honestly, i want to try this board but...some official reviews would be nice. At least we know abit has some stability in its future.

mine's out for delivery today!!!! Can't wait till I can dropkick my god-awful Chaintech VNF4/Ultra 😉. I'll let everyone know how it overclocks and what not as soon as i get it together.

on a related note, if anyone wants a REALLY cheap VNF4/Ultra, let me know. It can't OC for crap, but if you just wanna run at stock speeds for a media center or something, it'll get the job done.

Hi everbody, this is my first post but long time lurker. I searched the forums here and I didnt find anyone that could also give some confirmation about the board. I was the one who reviewed it on newegg. So far so good with this board. I finally was able to push the memory into running at ddr490 by upping the voltage. I welcome any questions about my experienceso far.

Hi, welcome to the forums.
What general impression has the board given you so far, overclocking and stability wise? What specs does your current setup have? Also, the south bridge heat sink looks fairly small, does it get very hot? Do the OTES heat sinks work well? Thanks and welcome again.

Initially, I tried to immediately go to 300 fsb with reduced multiplier, HTT, etc but it didn't even boot. When I incremented slowly, it worked- starting from 25o and going at 5 at a time. I havnt tried to find a way by going past 300 by ways of NB overvolting but I am sure it is possible. The ram is given 2.9 volts to help with stability. SB Heat sink is fairly small, but I removed it and applied AS5 to help improve cooling. It is not hot at all, though I do have good cooling on the case. The North bridge got pretty warm on the probes, but I could still touch it with my fingers. I think it is due to the stress from the OC thats causing the heat. The heat pipe works, I guess. Having exhaust helps a lot.

i got mine from newegg, before they sold out. Hopefully for you guys they won't do what they usually do and raise the price as soon as they are back in stock. If so, at least there is a $15 rebate available.

So far the board is holding it sown I have just gotten it and am starting the process of burning it in, stay tuned
